I am on the stage where I got my nomination, and will soon submit my PR application to CIC. I am now waiting for my PCC and FBI clearance. I am on the H1B SRS AINP stream. My passport is expiring on July 2009. I am in the process of renewing my passport. It will take 4-6 weeks to get the new one. Will I have a problem with CIC if they see on my PR application that my passport is near expiration? I am planning to put a note on the PR application that the passport renewal is in progress.
Any thoughts?
