Just hang on a few more days. The light at the end of this long dark tunnel is just around the corner! Update: Received the long-awaited letter confirming the approval of sponsorship. The file has now been forwarded to NDelhi (hope that's not too bad a news  ). Now lets see what the next steps would be.... |

I just got the letter in the mail, I'm approved as a sponsor and my application has been forwarded to Paris,
on the letter it says I have chosen to defer the RPRF and I will be contacted at later date for it,
I did misunderstood when they asked for payment and have sent the receipt from 2008 witch by my misunderstanding did not include the RPRF fee , I did pay beginning of this month and faxed and mailed the receipt.
if I try to go in my e status online my UCI does not work yet is that common?
I also got a letter regarding my sponsorship approval and file got transferred to New Delhi, India. I think the waiting period begun again for me. According to their website it may take up to 33 months or more.... Knowing there are going to issue only 6000 visa this year it will be a long waiting time..... Wish others good luck... |

Question about PCC. In country where my parents are living, police send certificate to local visa office only, and we have to provide to Ottawa. What we have to do? Request to send to local visa office and they will send to Ottawa?

In India police hand the certificates to applicants. Applicant has to send it to the visa office address. In your country if police send it directly, give them the ottawa office address and ask them to courrier it. Also, take the tracking number to track the package. |

As per the timeline posted it shows that your sponsorship application was approved within one day of sumitting the application...Hard to believe.
we had a priority for ondoy victims last 2009 in the philppines it happend that ours has been included tho were not victims or affected by it. anyway, i checked our ECAS today it said DESICION MADE. ECAS: we started processing your application on April 13, 2010. Medical results have been received. A decision has been made on you application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. Hope it will be visa. Thank God! |

it's not typo. it's in our ecas yes - residents in the Philippines who were significantly affected by Typhoon Ketsana were offered special measures to facilitate immigration to Canada... but it means that the timelines of your case are specific to Philippines and different from cases from other countries... |
