I have emailed Singapore last week advising that I have sent the documents to CPC-M and as of now there is no update and there is nothing in the system regarding receipt of the docs as per call center agent.
I got phone a call today around 5:15pm from an immigration officer ( surprised to  see that they are working after 5pm). He told me that I have told Singapore about sending docs. He wanted to know when CPC-M received it as there are lots of mail in the bin and it would be easier to find if he knows the date. After I told him that date, he thanked and said will call me if there is again any problem. Hopefully all goes well and I hear about PPR from Singapore soon.

I need help!!!!!!! I don't know whatelse I can do.
I have called the call center again yesterday and they told me that the officer who called me put a note that there are mails from August that was not opened. He forwarded the same message to Singapore regarding my file.
I have asked the what it means but they could not reply me anything. I have asked them about which mailroom or types of mail he is referring to as spouse and parent applicants who sent documents after mine are getting approval letter. The agent said that she does not know how Mississauga works, she referred CPC-M as Big Monster without any control.
I have emailed Singapore and faxed CPC-M but no replies. How do I know how long it will take? There is no way for me to check about the said backlog and how quickly it will clear up.

Any advise anybody?

Couple weeks ago my father has asked CHC-ND to issue a PR asap due to family function in U.S but today he has received a call from CHC-ND asking him to send his passport without the PR and resubmit after he returned from US for PR visa stamping. now my question is if we get the passport without the PR, do we have to start the procedure (security check & medical) again after resubmitting the passport or will they just continue it.
-> I heard that CIC-M has sends files to either local consulate or Ottawa for PR visa is it right? if yes can we get the PR from Ottawa?
-> Does security check include Canadian stay as well? (my father stayed in Canada over 3 years on visitor visa) if yes is there anything I can do here. CIC rep indicated over the phone that they are waiting for security report.

I don't know how important your family function in US is, but this will definitely slowdown your process. Regarding your question, it really depends on how long your parents stay in US. Of course, CIC has the final call on asking for those.

Oh.. this was not good. If you live in Canada, may be you can try visit your local MP office, explain them what has happened and ask them to follow-up. At least you will know what is going on. I think no one will be able to tell you exactly "how long it will take".

Can local MP's office contact or do anything if the file is stuck in Mississauga?

I am not sure about their ability. Tell them the same and see if they can do anything.
As for as I know they may be able to do a follow-up.
