Hi frnd no need for sry we are helping eacth other .my father pass away in 2010 so we send the request to change principal applicant so thats why my mom name shown in first line know earlier it was start with dad name

Our file was transferred to OTTOWA April 19th but as yet no call for medical . I have noticed that the period between file transfer and medical request has been getting steadily longer ,presumably because the case files have increased in number during this period.
Anyone else got similar dates ? We applied in June 2008 by the way.

Expect email from CIC for medicals next week.
Mine was April 16th, I got it on June 20th.
Yes, it is slowing down. They have reached saturation point at CPC-O office.

i applied in dec 2007 and file transferred to ND in May and as usual still waiting

Whatever happened to the online POLL they took recently, the comments on newspaper sites and many forums are that Canadians generally think that "foreign" parents are a burden, their whole thought process revolves around how much they will absorb from the healthcare ( which I believe is the most exaggerated aspect in this country ). They don't even offer alternatives, and we are their mercy

But frankly, it's their call as it's their country. We chose to come here and have to play by their rules - for them, "home" concept is very normal whereas for us it's unthinkable and our culture and affection with parents are another level.

first of all Foreign Parents were, are or not a burden......we are taking their responsibilities as sponsorer's where as refugees are burden  so govt. should limit # of refugees or completely stop refugee program or when they are in they should be provided certain things for couple of months and then they on their own, in july health care for refugees will be eliminated, that's the way it should be.
And Canada is a land of immigrants, it is not ours or theirs land / country and when they allow immigrants from different countries they should take into consideration cultures of different countries
All Canadians are immigrants and share same values and culture

i think we should contact out local MP and seek their guidance and request MP to raise concern on our behalf, and as long as we don't unite and raise concern we will not get any result......we all are affected
And can any one draft a letter and we all can put our names and forward it to sponsorourparents.org, I think they can help us.....any advice or suggestion?

sponsored parents are entitled to provincial health care and therefore do place a burden on health care. Whilst we sponsors are responsible for any extended health care, dental, food, shelter etc..., our parents will still have basic health care provided by the province in which they reside. This is what many Canadians are concerned about and one of the reasons why the government is looking at remodelling the parents and grandparents immigration system e.g., they may seek up front costs from the sponsors to cover the cost of that basic health care provision similar to how Australia manages this.

Can I suggest for these kind of discussions maybe another link/post can be open? Lets keep this forum for original purpose to discuss parents sponsorship not our views. Thank you.

My case is also in Delhi and I too found it unfair, however how many takers will you get for this. You think people who have files in Ottawa will join in and try to jeopardize/slow down their process? Also we don't know the scope of this process yet, perhaps Ottawa are simply collecting the documents to relieve the initial burden and ultimately they will go back to LVO for passport request

 I've same status like you as below  but my parents got letter(took 10days to reach home in Hyderabad)& postman took the signature too.Don't worry about that.

TERI from Vienna VO got PP request too. Could you point us to the post where they say Ottawa asked for Meds and PP at the same time?

Also, even b4 this Pilot Project and additional docs request - files xfered to different LVO's had their own wait time anyways so frankly nothing changed - however, if you see a 2009 applicant from India ( file in Ottawa ) getting it before a 2008 applicant ( file in ND ); then it's totally unfair but we haven't reached that point. In addition, if you read the letter from Nov, 2011 they mentioned that they will go as per the date the docs are sent ( so regardless of being Jan, 2008 vs Dec, 2008 ), it's a new queue which is also unfair however, people are content with the movement and no one really care about that especially for those who had their files sent to Ottawa

Ideally, your folks should apply for Supervisa and have them stay here til this is done
