After 4 weeks the medical sent to Ottawa - the eCAS now shows an additional line on the status:
"Medical results have been received."

Hi Pari4U,

My understanding of the above is "Priority Categories" = "Sponsored Spouses, Partners, and Children" and "Other Categories" = "Other Members of the Family Class" (sponsored parents and grandparents)

That being the case, I hope that the timeline information provided on the website is outdated!

Good day Friends,
Couple of questions if you've any knowledge on these and help me to understand:
Info for this questions: My parents have completed their medical and been submitted by DMP to LVO (New delhi)
(AA). Can I apply for parents visitor visa to come to canada?
(BB). IF they are on visitor visa here, where do they have to send passport for PR visa stamping?
(CC). IF we get passport submit request from LVO, then at that time being in Canada, can we courier passport to LVO?

Frieds, Thanks in advance..

(AA). Can I apply for parents visitor visa to come to canada?

They can at any time apply for a visit visa but that doesn't mean they will get it.

(BB). IF they are on visitor visa here, where do they have to send passport for PR visa stamping?

To their visa office.

(CC). IF we get passport submit request from LVO, then at that time being in Canada, can we courier passport to LVO?

I suppose you could but from what I have heard, there is a law in India that you can not mail Indian passport outside the country so the visa office will not mail back to them.  I suppose the visa office will mail it to their house where a relative can collect the passports and have them couriered to Canada.

Probably you will not receive additional medical request. May be their process (or visa officer) is taking time to update results in your e-cas. In my case, I received additional medical request in 2 weeks after submitting medicals. You should have received by now, if there were any additional medical test required. If you notice the folks who have passed medical tests have their e-cas updated atleast after a month. Good luck to you!!

Thanks rajmalhotra7 & Van80 for your kind words.
In case if CIC has to request additional tests then they would contact my parents in India as I am not a representative yet.
I really hope thats not the case and love to see a status change in a week or so. Fingers crossed.

no restrictions

To Consulate/Embassy

(CC). IF we get passport submit request from LVO, then at that time being in Canada, can we courier passport to LVO?
It is against law to mail passport from one country to another. (99% countries have this)

Frieds, Thanks in advance..

Hello Guys,

Need your help,

I send additional papers to CIC - LO (New- Delhi) original Birth certificate and all copies of my old passports. I send through Canada post with tracking no. but now on Canada post website it doesn't show that they delievered papers.

when i called Canada post than they replied that they do not have options to get sign for international post.

and still shows the below status:

Date  Time  Location Description Retail Location Signatory Name
2012/05/09 02:25 INDELA, International shipment has arrived in a foreign country
Track History
Date  Time  Location Description Retail Location Signatory Name
2012/05/09 02:25 INDELA, International shipment has arrived in a foreign country
2012/05/05 13:21 MISSISSAUGA International item has left Canada
01:36 MISSISSAUGA Item processed at postal facility
2012/05/03 19:00 MISSISSAUGA Item accepted at the Post Office

http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/track/business/findByTrackNumber?execution=e1s2

I am little bit in worry that did CIC -LO receieved the letter or not?

is it anyway to know that CIC recieved letter and reqeusted documents or not?

your reply would be much appereciated.

regards

Hi Rick2007,

While your anxiety is quite understandable, CIC does not acknowledge the receipt of additional documents they had requested. You can make a "case specific" inquiry (using the online email link and providing details of the application). See if they respond to that. Check with CanadaPost to see if the package was delivered (not the signature, just that the package was delivered or not). In most cases, especially where international shipments are concerned, since the systems are not compatible between different postal services, acknowledgement of receipt is not given a priority (even though the packages are delivered).

Most likely, your package has been delivered but that information has not been passed back to Canada Post. You can also ask for GCMS notes (which takes a month to arrive) - in there you would get the details of when the additional documents were received in their file.
