General Information for those who have completed medicals...
How long will my application take if I need a medical exam?
For permanent resident applications, it normally takes 3 months after our medical office receives the medical examination results from the Designated Medical Practitioner before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application. This is true only if you have already complied with our other requests (e.g. to submit other documents).
Where did you get this information from? Is it a general rule or specific to a LVO? |

Congratulations simrank! My ecas is not working since yesterday morning...does that mean that there is some update in progress of the status? I am still waiting for AOR for last 4 months? Not sure why I am unable to see ecas application status.....it was working last week.
Yes i am sure u will get some news soon plz update if u get any news that give me some hope bcoz i send my file in mid jan still no response oh god please help us |

gaggidhillon, I suggest you call CIC and explain to them that others who submitted their documents after yours have already received replies while you still haven't. It is odd for you to not hear anything from them. All the best! |

Hi thx for reply there is one person rooziroti who send documents on 29 dec 2011 his status not working from yesterday that give me hope.my sis call many times but agent have different answer all time i even send enquiry to cic-m today . But one my frnd send documents on 3 jan still waiting for approval. I think in this month all dependant files will be clear i am sure |

Friends I have some questions regarding CAIPS/FOSS. Can you help
I came into canada as PR and I want to get my & family (wife & 2 kids) file and all related information. Can I request for everything under Privacy act or do i have to pay the fees.
I had applied for PR for my parents and their file have been transferred to Ottawa. Do i need my parents consent to get the information on that file (since this is my application for their PR and I am also their representative) if no consent needed can i get the information under Privacy act?
If consent is needed then then my parents are coming to Canada in the end of May. Once they are in canada can we order all their information under Privacy act without any fee (since they are in canada so they can order themselves).
I also undestand that if we ask for local visa information that will take time to get stuff quickly can I make one request which is just CAIPS / GCMS Notes and one (after 15 days or so) which has everything.
Which sections under Section B of form IMM5563E should be filled to get information quickly to exclude visa information

I could not log into my profile over the weekend. I tried several IDs including PR card, landing number, client number etc and none of them worked. I was using my PR card number in the past. After the weekend, the only number that I can check my profile with is my client ID number. I have not seen any change but it made me hopeful that something is being done.

Today, I received additional medical request mail for my parents. Letter is dated April 27 and there is a sealed envelope for DMP. They have given 90 days to complete the re-medical.

I could finally talk to a one of those "helpful" agents. She told me over the phone that they have started working on my file late April and I should hear back from them soon. This was the first time after many attempts that someone could give me at least a confirmation.
