Last time i checked, it was not updated although my parents' medical was sent to Ottawa. I will check on Monday to see if there is any changes.
Thank you Mahbubeh. I am just trying to determine, if file has been updated to "medicals received" does that mean they have passed the medicals and no additional tests will be needed. So far this seems to be true. |

Thanks for updating Singhnx01! You are the first one so far from us 'locals' :-) So, it looks like it took them less than a month for AOR (Jan 25 transfer and Feb 10 AOR), correct? Was your AOR by email? Do you know what we are supposed to do regarding police certificates? My parents already got one (I asked them to get it to avoid delays once we submitted those additional documents) - as I was hoping we will get a request from Ottawa as many did. Now with the local VO, I am not sure what to do with itand it will expire in less that 2 months :-( (it is supposed to be less then three months from issue when submitted). I am thinking may be submit it - especially if it is going to expire anyway (though one of the agents and some people here said that they may be returned). Also, has your status changed in any way since the transfer? Is it still 'application received' for your parent(s)? |

Hello Anik: I requested for Caips/GCMS under PRIVACY ACT. There is no charge if requestor is a Canadian CItizen or PR or a person present in Canada. If you are an authorized representative and have already submitted the representative form, you may request under Accees to Information Act. There is a $5.00 fee for it. It takes about 30 days to get the information. CIC has changed the format of the form begining this month. my understanding is that if you are asking for information NOT about yourself then it has to be under Access to Information Act (not privacy act)...
and in section B you need to add file number or UCI and select something - probably 'Electronic files'

Hi,
Did anyone get request for extra medical test? I received yesterday a letter from Ottawa requesting more test for my father. I don't know what are these new test yet because it was in a sealed envelope and the letter said my father should take the sealed envelope to the DMP. I forwarded the letter to my parents.
I was wondering if anyone else had similar situation and if yes, what were the extra tests?

I think nothing to worry... CIC requests more tests when they wanted to have more clarification regarding applicant's medical results/history. I hope everything will be fine and wish you good luck. Btw: Are you a representative for your parents, since you received the letter I assume so. If you don't have a representative, would CIC send this to sponsor? |

Hi All, I normally log-on to eCAS everyday to check my status. When I tried to logon today, my validation information with my PRCARD # (Although I am a Canadian citizen) does not work any more  . Is anyone having a similar problem? Do you think there's something wrong with eCas today or is it just me thinking optimistically that they are making changes to my application? Pari4u and Raatri, are you experiencing anything similar as our timelines are almost the same? Thanks all... |

Hello, I am a new member here from Toronto. Don't know how to post my views. But We have applied for my parents and In-Laws in 2005 and 2006. Both have done their medical in Feb 2012 and Mar 2012 also documents sent out along with their passports to New Delhi. Anyone know how long it will take them. Thanks. Also I want to bring this to everyone's attention that our friends who had sponsered their family after us but their family is here already 2 months before. It's not that I am not happy for them but I am sad for us. :-( |
