...also when i first applied i also needed birth certificate and mine was also same way as got it from our embassy of country of birth and immigiration didnt ask me anything else
so is this enough then ?

If you have already experienced that CIC accepts the document provided by your embassy - and it is quite common to not register births in your country - then you could go ahead and just submit that document. The important thing in sponsoring parents are (1) proof that the person you are sponsoring is/are your parents and (2) you have enough income to support them.

Documents that can prove that 'the person you are sponsoring is your parent' is (a) your birth certificates  - that contain the names of your parents and (b) your parent's marriage certificate - that proves they are married to each other. Ultimately, in the documents you submit (either bc and mc or anything else on its behalf), this information should stated to the satisfaction of the visa officer.

Shuga/Mockava, can you please answer as to how did u receive medical & PCC request from Ottawa ( meaning e-mail or regular mail)
If regular mail, then received at canadian or non-canadian adress?

Maybe being a representative is a factor, also advise if u both are reps for ur parents

my mom used to have birth certificate and I thought that everything will be easy for me, but now after I phoned her to confirm the availability of the documents, she mentioned that she cannot find her birth certificate in our native language, Imagine I have it already translated and certified in English, but can not get a copy of the original one in native language. I asked before and was told to get an affidavit from a lawyer where my mother has to be infront of him and swear that she was born in the country at that day. What I need to know if someone can help we with that I already contacted my lawyer back home, but he does not have the form in English, and thought if any one of you guys have done an affidavit before in English could give me the form in English so my lawer can issue it in English rather than going through the translation and certification as true copy which is quite a hassle back home especially that my mom is all by hersel there and she is over 76 years old.
I would really appreciate that, this would be of a great help to me.

Thanks everyone

Can someone help me please??

I thought my parents file was with CSIS for background checks and sent them a note, today I received a letter from them saying they are yet to receive my parents info from CIC.

Wonder what was happenning with their file and why they receive medicals request so late. Any ideas?

hello guys
so is it  only one form imm008 that needs to be validated before sending the last page of it to parents to sign it ?  so other forms like Background declaration form IMM 5669, ADDITIONAL FAMILY INFORMATION FORM IMM 5406 and  Representative form IMM 5476   they do not need any validation as there is not as seem basic forms  so  just send the signing pages for parents that is all ?    if u guys can make clear about it  because i am sending them soon to parents to sign all pages   i appreciate if u guys reply
thanks so much
