Yes, any document that is not in English or French must be translated and the original certified translated copy should be sent along with a copy of the national id.

After sponsorship was approved and decision made by Mississauga my file was transferred to local visa office on 7 Feb 2012, I got acknowledgement e-mail on 3 Apr 2012 from local visa office and yesterday my status was changed to in process. Before it was only application received, for the second part of my application - application for permanent residence.
No dependents, only one parent.

In my opinion it have to be soon because otherwise it will be not normal.
2009 applicants are sending additional documents to Mississauga and if they got Ottawa does it mean that they will be in front of 2008 applicants?

I doubt there would be a difference of more than + or - 6 months in the actual issuance of visa - irrespective of where the files are processed.

May be after completing all the first batch applications without dependent one they will process our so may be in May we hear something , I feel really angry at cic at least they should send us email saying yes we received your applications and its complete and CIC is working on it, so we at least know that our Add doc did reach to CIC safe and good. So frustrating.

question to you all did you resubmit your option C print out for recent year when you send teh additional DOC i didnt send them now but when i filled teh applications in 2008 i did submitted the 2007 option C  do you think may be tghats why its tacking more even ? or is it just the Dependent part is only which delaying our process

Hi pari you cant send pcc on its own to mississauga unless they ask for it.....otherwise they will return it back to you its written in our second batch letter....i think they are taking more time cuz u guys have dependants   so unfair

i want to ask about the imm008 form in section asking date of issue and expiry of national id as where i belong to as their the national id has no expiry date as once it issues  u can have it for always without any expiry  so what should i do with date of expiry as it asks me day month and year? can anyone reply to this
and also about the address section about contact information in imm008  mailing address
which address i need to put my parents back home or here in Canada ? which one u guys put it please reply

Hi Teri, what is your local office processing time on average ? (I mean the old stats - I know they may no longer be valid but still)? Looks like it took them a couple of months to send the AOR email - wondering if that is the norm for local offices...

I had same problem with national ID expiration date,I just put 12/2012 as expiration date and after I printed it, I white it out and put n/a instead and I wrote a letter to explain it.

good idea snspring. I wasn't smart enough to white it out. Just left a fake date and wrote explanation.

I did the same thing as you did (fake date far in the future - so that it is meaningless :-) - and an explanation)

I did not want to mess up with this barcode form by doing anything manually (whiteout or something) - did not want to risk it to be deemed invalid or something .

Just phoned CIC (check on my last name spelling issue which I had problem wtih for a while and they did not seem to fix it).
Also asked about my status (I see Decision made and leter sent on Apr 12 on ecas). The agent said that yes, they approved, but they letter has not been sent yet He said the system generates the 'letter sent' status automatically at certain point but it does not always mean the letter is mailed right away (which we kind of figured out already based on dates provided by forum members).

He said it looks like mine is planned to go to local office but he said it has not been confirmed yet (not sure why not  - maybe they have some process for further makign this choice...)
Anyway, that will be disappointing but what can we do

Anik, don't worry yet. Mine was going to the local VO as well, according to a CIC agent. However, it went to Ottawa. I think yours will go to Ottawa as well.

I was asked for C printout for 2007
let's see if it goes to CPC-O or Local office
