Can you someone who got their case transferred to Ottawa confirm that it is on their letter as well?
The letter is dated April 10. I called yesterday (April 11). I don't this Ottawa would have made a decision to send it to New Delhi after just one day.
same on my letter. And same for me...an agent told me over the phone the the file is likely transferred to the regional VO. However, the agent said it could be Ottawa, too   I called yesterday to confirm that it is in Ottawa. And it was. |

No if there is no dependent or you don't have representative don't need to fill the forms. |

you can leave it blank if you don't know it...
my parents have the same UCIs that they had when they were issued visitor visa to Canada... but it's OK if you dont' know it...
My Mom does have a visitor visa as well and extension of stay. Can you please advise us where to look for UCIs? Is it the same # or each time they assign a new one? |

I had a chat with an immigration consultant about background checks. He told me that 'younger' parents have to go through backgroung checks. Both my patrents are below 60, he said, definitely had to go through background checks. However, he told me that if parents are over 75 then CIC may waive background checks.
He also told me that there is no time limit for the backgrounds checks to complete. :-(

Latest Update:-
It is currently talking 12-15 business days to open mail once send to CIC (FC4).
If you have not heard anything back for more than these days that just mean they have opened up the mail, move those documents to your existing file. Once time comes to review your file you will get update. 12-15 days above are only to open up mail.
CIC informed the CPC-O is processing application based on following:-
* Pilot project (only few countries selected, INDIA, CHINA & some other)
* No local knowledge is required
* No dependents
* No Immigration alert (or other security risk)
* English selected as language in Interview
* Previous History in Canada (have already visited Canada before)
* All documents in order
I don't agree. In our case, there are no depedents and English was selected as language for interview. All the paper were in order and that is why sponsership was approved. Even then our case was transferred to New delhi |

It's a 8 digit nr 0000-0000 in their extension paper, it the same everytime, my mom has three extensions the nr doesn't change. |

Does it apply to those parents who have no criminal records that is proved by the police certificate and never been out of country of their residence? |
