Hi all
I applied on feb 10, but didn't get any response from cic so far.wheras people from 13 and 15 got letters and status changes.i would like to know from people between 8 and 12 do you got any correspondance from cic,any letteror status updates? I was very anxious to get something this week but cic jumped to next dates.please update? Thanks.

File number never worked for me. You can use UCI for checking status as well

Yes, I did find my mom's UCI in her visitor visa records. In the letter that I received last week it says "for any communication with CIC to use the UCI number stated above," but there isn't any other number in the letter, just a 12 dixhit one that doesn't work for anything online.

Same here. This is the letter about the file being complete, right? When you get approval of sponsorship, there will be YOUR UCI on top there.

Hi. i just wanna tell my story and I hope somebody can give me a clear picture of whats happening. Im actually wondering whats going on with my application.

first off i send my application and it was received and acknowledge January 8, 2008. I was still married that time and my ex wife co-signed my application.

I received a second letter stating that they are ready to begin processing my sponsorship application and in the letter there is a document checklist included.. requirements are IMM0008, additional family info, schedule A etc. and in the letter they also stated that we need to inform them any changes in my status.. I wrote a letter to CIC that in 2009 I already got separated and we need additional days as my mom's having problem with her documents.

we send the complete requested documents March 10 and until now we haven't heard or received anything from them. I tried checking online using the client ID that they gave me in the acknowledgement receipt dated January 8,2008. I entered my information and to my surprise it says that the application was received to sponsor MYSELF( my name is written on the website) and the date is January 08, 2008.

my questions are:

1. should my name be on the website or my mothers name and info??

2. will my sponsorship get affected because i got separated. Im earning 55k annually and I dont know if this is actually enough to sponsor my mom.

3. is the processing of my sponsorship just the same as others coz 2 of my friends had different way of processing their parents.. ex. they submitted 2009 they were asked additonal docs and december 2011 another letter requesting for additional info and medical.

4. what is F number? i received the letter with a FILE NO: XXXXXXXXXXX is that the F number?

I hope somebody can help me understand my situation. thanks in advance!

see section 5.17 in the above pdf. it states thath the age of the depedent is locked in as of the date cpc-m receives the complete application.

I have questions. If the dependent reached 22 while the application is in-process, would the dependent be still under Type A of dependent children?
Should the dependent child provide proof of continuous full-time study for the additional docs., even he is under 22 at the time of initial application?

25th Feb was last date to send, you sure it's not a typo?
It should be Principal Applicants name on Website ( ie., Father or Mother, but only Principal Applicant ) - NOT YOURS

It shouldn't but your original application was and you need to explain that you are now the sole sponsor with that income which IMO is enough for 3 ( yourself, father and mother )

4. what is F number? i received the letter with a FILE NO: XXXXXXXXXXX is that the F number? Not really useful in checking status on Website bt I guess its File # I got one too

Did you get the medical requests for your parents?
Reason I ask is I am in a similar boat as you - mother visiting us in Canada and father in India. And the CIC rule is both need to be seen by same DMP.

But nothing we can do now we have to wait and see what happen next

Does having dependants who will be accompanying my parents delay their application?  Originally we weren't planning to add my siblings since they're over 22 years of age, but now we're considering adding them to the application.  We're at the stage of submitting the additional requested information.  Is it too late to add them?  Is it a good/bad idea to do so?

yes me to dependent in my file i think until 31 decemeber 2011 file they approve file with dependent.my frnd who is dependent submitted documents on 29dec 2011 got approval on 17 feb 2012.i think they make queu for those file who have dependent children.we have to wait and see how much time they take to approve those file

if u add the dependant children intially then you should continue with application .i dont know exact but i saw on different forum that for those who submitted documents in jan 2012 with dependants got nothing
