I applied in March 2009 and have not received any letter from CIC to submit additional docs. I think we will receive
towards the end of the year.

Good news for me my parents got medical they send March 12 and got medical on 22nd march in india.

Hi there,
I have also not received any letter from CIC for my parents sponsorship case, I applied for them in May 2008. I called CIC on Feb 21, 2012 that they sent me the letter in Nov 2011 which I never received. So thy put note that a new letter will be sent to me requiring additional information. I have not received yet CIC rep told me it should come within 3 months. What a mess!
Please advise if you have similar issue and what did you do, appreciate it. Thanks

Congrats dildarbar, on the progress of your application. Keep us posted with any new developments. Also inform your parents to ensure that the dmp sends the medical results to the correct office.

What is the procedure ?
We have to send any medicals paper send to Ottawa ? If yes what is that address ?
How much cost in Indian Rupees ? (Two Person)
picture size same at we send on november 2011 when we submit our documents ? or different size for DMP ?

Hi to all Can you give me some hint pls. I came canada by live in care giver program and, after working 3 years i got my PR last may. and now I want to sponser my mom, Dad and my yunger sister hwo is 16 years old. so can u please tell me wich one application form can i use.

Unfortunately, you cannot sponsor your parents until at least November, 2013, as there is currently a pause on parent/grandparent sponsorship applications that was introduced in November, 2011 for a 2-year period. This was because there was a backlog of 168,000 applications and they decided to stop taking in further applications to clear the backlog. However, you can try to get your parents here with the Super Visa. Not sure about your 16-year old sister though. You can try regular TRV for her. Good luck!

it costs rs 3100 per person for full medical..can be more if the doctor demands additional tests..
just call the DMP in your area and schedule an appointment..
he/she will tell you which documents you need to bring ..usually 5 photographs,passport copies and some national identity proof...
the dmp will forward the results to embassy himself..

Along with the letter informing you to get the medcals done, cic would have inckuded a medical form. These fprms have section A to E. The applicants have to fill (if it is not already pre-printed), section A only. the dmp would fill out the rest . Use this guide to find out which dmp is closest to you www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx
Call the number for the dmp you have selected and then make an appointment. Ask all your questions as to what your parents need to take with them, if they can have breakfsast, costs', number of pictures etc.  The address where the results must be submitted would be mentioned in your letter. most likely, it would be an Ottawa address. Since this is a new process and dmps usually send the results to local  address, clarify on the phone where they would send the reports. ask for the option to send the report thru a courier and see if they can give you a tracking number - they might charge extra, but you would have peace of mind.
Lastly, if your parents are taking any medications, take those medicines along with the prescriptions along with them.

Hi Simuni, unfortunately, cic has stopped accepting any new applications for sponsoring parents. You can bring your parents via the super visa category, but this would be an expensive route.And even if you choose this option, you can only include ypur parents in this category, not your sister. I would recommend you get a visit visa for your parents and once they get a visit visa, you can ask your sister to apply for a student permit.
