CIC - New Delhi asked for my birth certificate copy.
still little bit confused - Below is exact sentence used in letter
Original Version of your Sponsor's Birth certificate (Gujarati version) and copies of all pages of his old (Indian) passport.
In my case, when i submitted additional documents that time i sent translated (English version) of my and my wife's birth Certificate, so above statement means do i have to send photo copy of our native language birth cetificate or I have to send original hard copy of our Birth certificates?
your reply would be much apericiated.

Hi All, I finally have an update on my file:  I received a letter dated April 20, 2012 today morning stating that they received my application on Feb 07, 2012 and it is complete. They also provided a file # and that my file is now in the processing queue. PAri4U, GAGANDHILLON, LUCK786, RAATRI, SPONS, you all should receive something soon. I am from Gujarat too and when we submitted our documents we sent both the notarize translated copy and plus the true copy of the original Guajarati birth certificate.
can i ask if you do have dependent in your file too ?

Hi Rick2007: did the Local office send you or your parents any AOR letter or email before you received that additional letter from them? If yes, how long did it took since the transfer to receive the first communication from LVO? By the way, your status in the tracking table is that you were transferred to Ottawa - did they move you to ND later or is it just incorrect information in the table? |

Congrats Simran. I just called CIC and, even though i submitted "Representative Form" with the documents, I was not added as a rep for my mom by Mississauga. Call centre agent said it happens often and i need to fax the form to Mississauga again  IT will take them a few days to update and then call centre can check the status of PR file for me. I asked him if this happens often, he said: "Too often"  |

great news SimranK! I received same letter too
I have one more update: I just called CIC and the agent was so helpful. She informed me that they have mailed another letter to me on April 30, 2012 stating that I have been approved as a sponsor and that my file has been forwarded to the local visa office (Nairobi). Waiting for the letter now. I am not sure what the processing time is in Nairobi but I also submitted the PCC for my parents together with the application in Feb 2012. So I guess what's remaining is medicals and payment of fees.
gaggidhillon and Spons, no e-cas status change for me though. |

They also provided a file # and that my file is now in the processing queue. On E-Cas, the status had already changed to "DECISION MADE" on April 27th. So waiting for the "DECISION MADE" letter now. |
