Hi Everyone

I need your assistant with that question. When CIC are asking for additional information for sponsoring parents, they want copy of document in native language along with certified true translation in English. So I am in the process of getting my mom marriage certificate, so copy in her native lanuage, + what is exactly certified true translation, I got confused, do I need after getting it translated at a translator office to go and get it certified again by a notary public or an authority back home, or the translator office will do as long as he wrote "This is a certified true translation of the original"??
Please try to help I am confused and my mom back home is puzzled with all the paper work need to be done.

Yes,get the translation notarized by a lawyer or notary public whoever certifies in your country.only then it will become certified translation.

My sis talk to an agent for 20 min but they said u have to wait for 5 month the agent know nothing about additional documents only option left is to pray to god and wait and wait

i was among those who 1st applied on 2008 october , & received additional document request on "25 NoV.2011"& have sent them the complete package on feb the 3rd 2012
today i fot an email :"
they`ve given me a New UCI number :
Dear xxxx xxxx :,
 
This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2008/10/08.
 
When should I contact CIC?
You must notify CIC of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:
•  Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, a marriage or a divorce
•  Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number)
• Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual
• Decision to withdraw your application .

Sponsorparents thank you very much and I really must to say - we are going still with the same processing time.
My letter for medical request has the same date as yours medical request, 16 April 2012.

i never really bothered to call !!!i was like fallowing u guys "the waiting forever applicant with dependents  "& believed that sooner or later , i will have some reply !!which finally i got 2day !!!....
it`s obvious that they are finished with all 2008 non-dependent application ,& they are actually starting to request additional doc. from 2009 applicant ...so it would make since that they finally now decided to proceed with 2008 applicant with dependent ,which were waiting for ages !!
but still the email says that it received the application in 2008 October which was  the very old"initial " date ,it didn`t mention the day were the newly asked additional Doc. were submitted at "2012 February the 3rd "
