question regarding IMM OOO8.do we ist fill the form and print.and send parents to sign.i donot see 2D barcoded on form.any advice from sponsor who already submitt IM 0008.I am not good with pdf forms.if anyone can explain in detail.THANKS.

My mother did not have her birth certificate and marriage certificate. I provided an affidavit towards the same. The sponsorship was approved on March 8th. The documents are now with New Delhi visa office.
that makes it to be the reason for them to send the file to the local visa office...I guess. |

Any document, which is not in English/French must be translated and the original certified translated document must be sent along with the document in the native language (pcc must be sent in original). If the document has both English (or French) and the native language then there is no need for a certified translated copy.
As far as I heard from cic, they do not require the originals - notarized copies accompanied with translation are the ones they require. |

Hi Guys
I have a question, if I am to get the PCC but it is in a native language, should I translate it and get it certified and send both original native as well as certified translated copy?
My mom whom I am sponsoring is an elderly lady over 75 years old and living by herself back home. I am trying to make it less stress for her to do all those procedures. Please advise??
By the way my time line is:
Applied in June 16, 2009
Aknowledge June 28, 2009
Additional Documets requested: April 10, 2012
Wow, it took just a month for them to send you Acknowledge of Receipt. In our case it took 6 months and we applied a year later. I guess not many applied in 2009. |

Regarding FOSS/CAIPS ordering: do I understand correctly that
- if I just order FOSS for my sponsorship application then I do not need to provide parents' consent form - but it would only cover mississauga part of my sponsorship application and nothing from my parents' visa files
- If i want to see anything related to my parents records, then I need to check CAIPS and need to get parents' signed consent form (e.g. to see past TRVs and whatever is in the local office at request time for their sponsorship PR application at local visa or ottawa once transferred)

I did not provide birth certificates for parents or their marriage certificate in my additional document request in Nov 25, 2011. But now they have asked for marriage certificate. Hopefully they do not ask for birth certificates. |
