I sponser my father from england.he donot have a birth certificate.he has british passport.do he still need birth certificate .
Note: if you dont hv birth cert, make sure u send an affidavit. Affidavit is a must. |

(if only I applied several months earlier - some people who were before Sep 2007 actually just got their visas recenly)
yes, same for me..i could have applied a year earlier. But when i think about people who were just a few days late in November 2011 (befor they froze everything up for who knows how long even if they say 2 years), i feel lucky. |

we wanted to apply for my in-laws... were discussing it for a while - they were not very interested in coming to Canada... but we wanted to apply considering how long it takes to complete the process... now it's too late... most likely the parents sponsorship process will be significantly different... |

My mother did not have her birth certificate and marriage certificate. I provided an affidavit towards the same. The sponsorship was approved on March 8th. The documents are now with New Delhi visa office. |

we wanted to apply for my in-laws... were discussing it for a while - they were not very interested in coming to Canada... That was the reason i didn't apply sooner:( My mom did not really want to get PR and move to Canada permanently. But i just made a unilateral decision and she signed. |

Hope the reductions in the CIC staff would not affect our applications too much.
when i called their call centre last time, the automatic message said something like "we are short of staff due to no fault of ours...bla..bla..bla...waiting times might be longer"...something along these lines |

I did not submit my parents Birth or Marriage Certificate. My file has been transferred to Ottawa. I am not suggesting that anyone should do that. I was not following this forum and hence made a uneducated decision of not sending these documents or affidavit. I will provide them with a affidavit if asked for. |

i ordered FOSS in Feb, received Mid March and ordered again in the beginning of April... i think it's the only way to get reliable detailed information from CIC... agents are not reliable... ecas is not detailed enough...
