hi Ratri, lucky786 and gagandeep87 , i am still waiting to here from CIC yet no letter no updates  and same as all of you i have dependent in my file so i think thats the reason why they are delaying our file for process.  hope to here from them soon. According to the canada post tracking i sent my doc on Feb 10 and CIC recived it on Feb 13 . thanks and good luck, |

Correct. I asked call center agent if I can write in local language. They advised me to write in a language that can be understood by local post office. I would suggest to write in Hindi (for India based applicants).
Not true, English is used by Postal Office. If you don't included not a big deal, 1st they will send by email address & 2nd they will send with letter mail in English which is not any concern. Some countries use native language to mails, their local language is required. In India, I can't remember seeing any letter in Hindi etc. All have addresses in English. So stick with English for INDIA. |

I have been following your comments over the past few months. Thanks to everyone in this forum for your helpful suggestions. We sent our additional documents on Feb 9 and CIC received them on Feb 10. I have not received any update. I had dependent in my file. I know another friend who did not have any dependent in his file and sent his documents at the same time as I sent mine. He has not received any update either. I am unsure about what is going on. I have been checking my online status everyday, especially after I noticed that there are some who sent their application in Feb and have received confirmation. It would have been very stressful if I was the only one who has not received any confirmation. There are at least some others who are in the same position. This shares the stress  . |

Just curious - has anyone had any updates or status changes during the past 3 days? i..e the long weekend time?
Nothing changed for me but I recall for some people status changed on weekend in the past...
(I got an email saying 'your application received in Dec 2007' and status change to two lines a week before but no letters or further status changes to 'decision made' or anything like that...still waiting)

No, no dependents (2 parents only) Based on the postal tracking they received my mail on Feb 14 or 15 (can not remember exactly). |

Hi gaggi I already knew its you I am also following this thread since the begginning.i just created account to shre my status with these members whom list you compiled with dependents.may be they are checking our lico.what else is taking it long? Anik, my status changed on weekends both times: two line on Sunday and then "decision made" on the following Saturday. But Easter long w/end is different i think.
