True, as my mom is a widow, so only she can sign a marriage affidavit.
only your mom's birth affidavit & marriage affidavit with her sign.And your dads death certificate.Death certificate content explains both birth& death dates too.I guess ,then no need for your dad's birth affidavit... |

Smom, seeing that u got an approval, i shud send 2 separate affidavits instead of a single affidavit for birth and marriage.
But i will call CIC on tuesday too.
Anyways forum members, my mom is in canada with me, so getting affidavits is not a concern.
I am sad because bcoz i might have my lost my position in the queue, otherwise its jus a little snag, nothing more
Yes, I would suggest so, check with CIC and make sure you submit all necessary documentation you could at the earliest. Do not worry about losing position in the queue, always try to make sure the ball in CIC's court. |

Shuga, my time line is very close to yours. I received letter that my file was transferred to CCP-O just yesterday and based on yur file I think I should receive medical request in 2 weeks. My question is that did you submitt police clearance for your parents at all? I have not submitted any and was wondering if I should ask my parents to apply for police clearance as it will take 2-3 months, but so far immigration did not ask me for any police clearance. I would appreciate it if you could help me figure this out. Thanks MG  |

They are giving only 60days for pcc & 30 days for medicals.you should apply now for pcc. |

i believe that CIC asked to apply for police clearence certificate in their November letter... they did not ask to submit it - but asked to apply... that's what my parents did... and got it in December... so i sent the police clearance certificate to CIC last week when they asked for it... |

Just checked this in CIC website. For Indian applicants CIC do accept PCC from passport office.
How to obtain a police certificate - India
Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?

Local Requests
For districts other than the Punjab:
Applicants should contact the local Senior Superintendent of Police/ Superintendent of Police/ Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner of Police, the Additional Commissioner of Police, or the Station House Officer (Police clearance certificate issued by the Regional Passport Office are also acceptable.
For residents of the Punjab:
Only the Senior Superintendent of Police or the Regional Passport Office may sign a Police Clearance Certificate.
Non-Resident Requests
Applicants should contact the Indian embassy or consulate.

Hmmm... thats a concern. If they have normal health issues then that will be fine. But if they carry any deceases such as TB then it will be a problem. But nothing much we can do, just hope for the best. |
