Guys I just got screwed.

I submitted my requested document for my parent on 31 December 2011.

Today my application got returned.

The want continuous school transcript for my brother since attaining age 22.

My brother was 19 (age locked-in), back in March 2008.

They should NOT ask me for that. He should NOT be required to be in school.

Anyone with a similar case.

this is the way it works..your brother should have studied(regulary).. they only allow dependent children ..since your brother is not studying..they assume he is working and settled/does not depend on parents.
my brother was 20 when applied and now when they send ppr +medical request they also asked for his updated educational documents and we had to send certificates of regular study..
its best to consult an immigration lawyer in this case

I'm also listed as dependent. I'm 25 years old and on my 3rd year in my second degree. I never skipped a semester. They were clear with their manuals stating lock in age during the time of application should be less than 22 and the dependents should be a full time student and financially dependent until the visa is issued to them.

I know this is hard but just the way it is. I know of a family and the eldest son stopped for 1 semester and he was found ineligible even he was still 18 during the time of sponsorship

I am new to this forum. I read few posts, seems very helpful. I sent my sponsorship application (jointly co-signed with my wife) in November 2009 to sponsor my parents and received letter in December 2009 from CPC Mississauga that “they have received our application but has not heard anything since then.

While going through few posts I noticed normally Stage 1 was completed in approx 2 years. I am sure when I sent in my stage 1 application waiting time was not 51 months as it says now on CIC website. Can some one please advice, what timelines will be applicable for our application? Is it current one or the one at the time of application received?

Does anyone have a similar situation? I know it's just a beginning of long wait period. Thanks in advance.

DEAR our case is seem somehow similar as i also started at end of april 2009 and i also got letter after a month that they recieved it but my question is    did u recieve any letter after that like  request for additional forms like imm008   if u did let me know when    thanks alot

Ottawa office is a pilot and is supposed to be much much faster in processing..

1. for applicant/spouse/dependant: passport, birth certificates, marriage certificates (where applicable),  national id (all copies, not original)
2. for sponser and applicant: proof of relationship. It can be sponser's document showing parents name, applicant/spouse document showing sopnser's name, any other document showing both sponser's and applicant's name, any other document you can think of.
3. two photos, with correct photo specification as mentioned in CIC website
4. Two self addressed labels, one in English (or French) and other in your country's official language.

No. My parent received MR+RPRF and police clearance request back in June'11 but no PPR. I think only New Delhi office requests PP at the same time of medical.

I have sent addition docs on Dec 5th and as of yesterday, it does not show in their system. It is making me really worried. I hope Canada post delivered to the right address. I have the tracking # and it says delivered in Mississauga.

I have emailed Singapore last week advising that I have sent the documents to CPC-M and as of now there is no update and there is nothing in the system regarding receipt of the docs as per call center agent.
I got phone a call today around 5:15pm from an immigration officer ( surprised to  see that they are working after 5pm). He told me that I have told Singapore about sending docs. He wanted to know when CPC-M received it as there are lots of mail in the bin and it would be easier to find if he knows the date. After I told him that date, he thanked and said will call me if there is again any problem. Hopefully all goes well and I hear about PPR from Singapore soon.
