HI Guys

Can you please give me some idea? How long it is taking at Islamabad for Parents. Application was submitted on 23-Jan-2008 and got the AOR stating that the processing started on 14-FEB-2008.

After that no response yet. They have all original documents of my 2 brothers and one sister. My both bothers are +22. But when i applied they were under age and fulltime student. Still fulltime student.

For last 18 months which is quite enough to send back something regarding additional info if they want but nothing.

Is it a good if there is no news. Assuming everything is good with there.

Thanks

The processing time to sponsor your parents through the Islamabad office is on average 13-23 months. See here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/08-fc-parents.asp So you are still within normal processing time and unfortunately, you may be waiting even longer before you hear any news. Good luck to you.

Thanks for your Reply.

But if they have all the documents for the last 18 months. and they think for the additional documents. would they send letter?

Who are those peoples whose cases processed in 13 months? If the 80% are finalized in 23 months those are good? i heard that early cases some time are rejects.

thanks

It doesn't necessarily mean that the cases that were processed quickly were refusals and ones that take longer are acceptances. Yes, presumably if they needed additional documents they would have asked for them but there are no guarantees.
