Can someone tell me if I can stay in Canada while my children are studying there? Can I also apply for an open work permit?

Your children is adult or minor ? I don't think you can apply for work permit.  Embarrassed

Hi,

1. You need TRV (Temporary Resident Visa) to enter Canada.
2. No, Open Work Permit is available only for the spouses/common-law partners of foreign students.

Thanks for your replies. I got two actually. One is already in college, and another one is an incoming grade 6. I already have a multiple entry TRV until Aug 2013.
