Ok i got the pages in the application where i need my spouse's signature and it is a different paper size than all of my documents. Does it matter?

They are slightly longer in length and shorter in width. Can I cut them neatly or is there a certain size the paper needs to be?

How do you mean? Which pages are you talking about? Which forms? All the official forms are formated in letter-size (8.5x11"). Do you mean additional sheets to be attached to the forms? Those can be letter-size as well. |

For example, the last page of application to sponsor, signed by me and spouse, was printed in Japan. And the rest of the pages were printed in canada and the last page size is different than the rest. So im wondering if i can cut them to even them out? Or i'd have to send another copy all the way back to japan and back which is going to delay our application a few weeks  |

same thing happened to me, what hubby did was went to japanese $2 store in vancouver and bought similar A4 papers to make sure all his forms are aligned to my size. He couldnt find it anywhere else. It was easier for him to reprint his forms than getting me to re-sign all the copies.

Agree with Riffa, though trimming the paper to match the sizes of the Japanese ones seems also like an acceptable idea, as long as the signatures are originals.

my signature remains on the original paper i sent him, he just sign on same paper but the other pages of his forms he reprint using the new papers he bought from the japanese shop so our submission are same sizes. But as dakonej said, cutting them neatly to fit yours will also work. I personally don't think it matters if they are different sizes but my hubby was particular about it being uniformed.  |

it wont matter as long as u send in a complete package no where did they mention paper length stop over thinking the process and submit ur document as u have a long wait ahead of u

The standard paper size in Asia and here is slighty different. It seems it doesn't matter - a few people on the forum have sent in an application with both sizes, and no problems were reported. Trimming the paper to be the same won't hurt, of course.

You are right canadianwoman. Here, in India, the standard size is A4, while my husband got all the forms from Canada on letter size. So our application was a mix of both and so far so good |

I had the same prob...but I just neatly cut the bottom of the paper to make it even size with our standard size....Is that OK???

Different paper sizes are not an issue, there are bigger issues to deal with when applying for permanent resident status.
