Hi Friends
Myself & my wife are staying in Dubai from last 4 years. My wife is a canadian citizen & I want to apply for Canadian immigration based on my wife sponsorship. Need to know following :-
1. Do i need to submit photocopy of Pakistani NIC in Urdu or Overseas Pakistani NIC in English? Also should this photocopy be attested from somewhere?
2. Should my birth certificate copy to be attested from somewhere?
3. How much time the process is taking nowadays from UAE?
4. Regarding marriage certificate, i got it attested & legal translation done 3 years ago to get Canadian passport for my daughter. I hope the same will be ok to apply for immigration also. Should the copy of Marriage contract also to be attested from somewhere?
Thanks in advance for all your help.

1. Yes only Pakistani NIC with english translation attested from megistrate Onverseas is not required
2. Birth certificates r issued by NADRA n if it is new one it has an english portion so u dont require translation if it is old one then better get new one or get english translation of old one that will b attested then otherwise attestation is not required
3. UAE ,,.... dont know .... PAK .............. websit says 9 months but it is taking far more time in case of MAILS ..... hehehehe
4. My personel opinion it will b OK yes it neeeeeeeeeeds attestation from megistrate n english translation is required as well

If you are applying through UAE then you need to follow the instructions for the Middle East available here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3911e.pdf
You will need notarized photocopies of all documents, unless it says otherwise in the instructions. Also, if your documents are not in English or French then you need a notarized translation, with a copy of the original.
Your application will be processed through Abu Dhabi which has an average processing time of 8-18 months, however, on the visa office website for UAE they say that their standard processing time is 6 months from the time they receive your application from Canada.

1. Yes you need documents to be translated in English because Canadians dont speak, read or write Urdu and its not one of the official languages in Canada.
2. Yes the documents need to be attested
3. There is a link on the website cic.gc.ca that gives you the processing times for regional offices
