Pakistani Applicants waiting for PPR (Stage 1 or 2 letters) from CHC London

I had applied for the PRTD on 10th October 2011 on H&C grounds at ISlamabad councilate. However i still havent recieved any sort of a reply from their side. Does anyone know how long it takes them these days to come with a decision and return the documents and passport?

hi forum members,

I am a potential immigrant from Karachi, Pakistan. I have got a query for you guys and will appreciate a reply in this regard.

I have got a friend who has done his "intemediate/ higher secondary school certificate/ 12th standard" as a private/external student, that means he was not enrolled in any college for the aforementioned degree . He just took the exam and passed it. He subsequently got his degree. which is recognized in Pakistan

now this person has done matriculation/secondary school certificate/10th standard as a regular student(10 years )  Also later on his Bachelors and Masters degree were from an HEC, higher education comission (Pakistani members would know this) approved university as a regular student (3+1 years). but again intermediate as a private/external student (2 years) .so essentially this adds up to 16 years of education but there is this 2 year period as a private/external student

 Now I have heard a lot of immigrant  consultants saying that having a private degree results in zero points out of twenty five  for education and they say the immigration case is very weak ,Although a few say its not an issue with varying answers.Some say  that educational years would only add up to be 14 years in this case (not counting 2 years for the intermediate degree) and thus only 20 points would be awarded. Very few say that it does not matter because the subsequent bachelors and masters degrees were as a regular student and 22 points would be awarded for 16 years of education.

what in your opinion should his education points  be?

please also keep in mind that that according to the official CIC webiste the definition of full time studies is

Full-time studies: This includes both secondary and post secondary education of at least 15 hours of instruction per week during the academic year.

Would really appreciate your take on this .

P.S. I would really appreciate if there is any successful pakistani applicant who had a similar education history to come forward with his experience . and also if someone had his case rejected because of a similar problem to share his experience

First step letter comes after Medical. London VO just requires photocopies of your passports.
Than they direct Islamabad VO to send you the step 2 letter in which they ask you to send original passports to Islamabad, so that they can stamp VISA on it.

                 can u clarify that after ppr1 thru email, do we have to send our passports to london or islamabad.My daughter's digital passport is not ready yet .If the first step is to send passport copy to canada will it be fine to send nondigital copy?

Second Q how long it take to receive ppr2 after ppr1?

You will have to submit the same passport in Step 2, the copy of which you submitting in Step 1

You will have to submit the same passport in Step 2, the copy of which you submitting in Step 1

Do u mean it doesnt matter to have a non digital passport?

You will have to submit the same Passport in Step one and two regardless of the matter whether it is a digital or analogue. You should ask Passport Authorities that whether non digitals are still valid or not

     My PPR2 arrives today via email. Remember I sent PPR1 on 7/11/11, my Ecase was changed to Decision Made on 22/11/11 and on 30/11/11   I got PPR2.
      I have sent the passports immediately via DHL Today. It is mentioned in the step 2 letter that the TCS will hand over passports within one month by CASH ON DELIVERY (we will have to pay the charges)
     My question is do TCS couriers brings the Passports at home or we have to collect them from their office?

Congratulation and its good news , Mostly TCS department call you for your passport  collection.

Secondly CHC London  didnt ask you to  submitt PROOF OF FUNDS again it goods for you. Have you were maintain bank balance from last 2 years ? and have you got any verification call to your employer ?
