Very pleased to inform you that I have received passports alongwith visas and COPR. Thank you all for the support. I joined this blog when I was very down due to the long wait and unclear future. I found many answers to my queries here. Together we have pooled our knowledge and experience for helping each other. thank you once again. I wish all of you best wishes. Yes, but we are Three Passports (Two Adults, one child). so we can carry $30,000/- easily.
I will advise you to reconfirm this by someone from immigration, children may not be entitled for 10000 $ |

I think there is no restriction or any limit on the max amount of money. However, any amount more than CAD 10,000/- has to be declared to the immigration officer at the POE. And you should be able to prove that the carried amount is your legal money. |

Brothers! THERE IS A RESTRICTION and you cannot carry more than 10,000 USD ~ CND No confusions about it please! Few crazy folks try it and get away by chance -No point of trying this coz if God forbidden you get checked, they'll simply book you and confiscate the amount temporarily until you face charges in court and pay the fine. How to transfer funds then: One solution I could figure out after some discussions here and there; Carry around 5000 CND per person in cash and for the rest of funds - Open foreign currency (USD/EURO) account (FCA) in any good bank here in Pakistan - Convert PKRs in USD/EURO from open market (risky but have to) and deposit in FCA - Get a bank of daft issued in favour of your name just a week before your departure - Once you reach and open a bank a/c, deposit the draft and you'll get your money there Alongwith 20-30% cash in hand, bank draft should be acceptable as proof of fund at PoE. Please suggest if someone has better ideas on this Thanks There is a strict restriction on carrying more than 10,000$ while going out of pakistan be careful
