Could anybody advice that an amount which is fixed deposited in "National Savings Center" (Qaumi Bachat Bank) on my spouse name would be accepted as proof of funds in my initial application (CIO) and for later stage as well (at the time of visa issuance, if my application accepted), as it can be encashed any time within 7 days.

Need your urgent reply..

Regards

"Only liquid cash" that means, bank account (saving/current) etc

Please see this quote "Note: Bank Certificates / Letters, Joint Bank Account Statements (where co-holder is other than your spouse) or Bank Statement if it is in the name of the Company/Business, Bank Drafts, Saving/Investment documents, Fixed Deposits and Property Evaluation certificates are not accepted as proof of funds."

I know all the things, in second phase (when they requested for update statment) I will open a new account on my wife name and transfer the same amount from Fixed deposit to my new "Current Account" (process will take not more then 10 days) if they asked about source of money I can show that its transfered from FD account to Current account as the title of both account are same. I think it should not be problem.

any comments?Huh?

Regards

nimmiboy, i asked this question from david cohen. and he said this will be accepted. the "sentences" amerzd is sharing were sent to shanbaba at the time of his passport request. so maybe CHC islamabad prefers to see bank statements only. however, at least i am sending my fixed deposit statements with my other bank account statements anyway. if they say they dont want to see the fixed deposit statements, i will encash them. the plan you have in your mind looks absolutely fine to me.

Hi nimmiboy,

Amerzd advised you the best. What you plan to do later should be done now. The bank statement should be three-six months old. A little loss now can save you from a lot of problem at later stage. Please open an account, transfer the funds in fixed term deposit. Attach proof that you had these saving certificates which you encashed and transferred into new account. Hopefully then your position would be much stronger for assessment.

Best wishes,

Manj

I am adding to my previous advises that;

I have heard from one of reliable consultants that CHC ISB is more specific and insisting on "liquid cash only". One of my friend had told me that (un offcial version) CHC Isb is simply rejecting cases of those who are failing to provide saving account statement (3-6 months) instead writing that they have xxxx much money to take around with them once CHC stamps visa. One more thing, CHC not going in correspondance with each funds shortfall applicant to topup, so please play save games rather something in negative. As ManJ said that "A little loss now can save you from lot of problems at later stage"
