oh dear. reply of azfar confused me again. seniors who have got provincial acceptance can u shed some light on this.

one more thing, my wife has done B.A and then M.A. she has following documents

1. B.A marks sheet
2. M.A marks sheet
3. M.A degree

but no B.A degree. so would we need B.A degree with full application or the M.A degree and marks sheet is enough???

I see lots of people worried about their private degrees. There was recent ruling in favor of private candidates from Federal Court of Canada. You can read the full details by visiting

Also Section 10.2 of OP Manual clearly states

If the applicant has an educational credential referred to in a particular paragraph in R78(2) but
not the total number of years of study required by that paragraph, officers should award the
number of points set out in the paragraph that refers to the number of years of study completed
by the applicant [R78(4)].

Also IRPA says it clearly

Special circumstances

(4) For the purposes of subsection (2), if a skilled worker has an educational credential referred to in paragraph (2)(b), subparagraph (2)(c)(i) or (ii), (d)(i) or (ii) or (e)(i) or (ii) or paragraph (2)(f), but not the total number of years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies required by that paragraph or subparagraph, the skilled worker shall be awarded the same number of points as the number of years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies set out in the paragraph or subparagraph.


Usually you will see on refusal letter, Officer will refer R78(2) without referring R78(4).

If you are refused based on the above reason, dont be disappointed, Challange the officer's decision by Quoting R78(4) and Federal court decision.

Dear All
would you please help in filling Section 10: education of background and declaration form.
my secondary school is 10 years
then Diploma of Associate Engineer Mechanical Technology 3 year
then Bachelor 2 year
Master 2 year
Master 1 year

actually i am confused about diploma, should i write it 3 in HSSC or in the box of trade school or other post secondary school?
if i write 3 in trade box then what i should write in High secondary box?
is it right ? elementary 10, Secondary 3 , university/college 5 trade school 0

No need of B.A degree

2-Notarized verification would be sufficient for copies ?
3-I have my tax returns for the last 4 years whether I should send these with my full application ?

I have decided towait for this email cuzz I might not have to update the proof of fund.If I have to,I will then open a new bank account and will attach an explanation letter that I didnt know about that/Thats what I have thought to resolve this situation.

AMERZD> Front side is more enough. However, you may do it (front+back), no big issue.

AMERZD> Yes, you can as there is no harm even this will be helpful in considering your mentioned salary/income as correct.

I also expect that CHC won't ask you to resubmit your B/Statement. Incase, they ask, your must really open new bank account and send both statements.
