Seniors, I need ur advice

I read on previous pages that u can show car ownership as proof of fund when sending full app. Does this actually worked for anybody and wht documents need to be attached to show car ownership ??

secondly, is it ok if the bank balance drop below minimum amount during the time of full app. and medicals ? or we absolutely have to maintain the minimum funds during this time ??

as you go through the previous pages of this forum...u'll notice that while submitting application with original documents etc ppl have shown car property as proof of funds.with an explanation that we'll sell these if we get the visa and so...and same is what we(me and family) are going to do...then at later stage CIC will request again for proof of funds i.e. liquid cash..

Dear it is the requirement for the CHC officer to approve your case that you should have the required amount to settle in canada, this amount should be in liquid form, your car and gold do not work for this purpose. at the end when they ask you for your passports usually they also ask for your fresh bank statement for last three or six months so you need to have required cash in your account.

yes, I also noticed ppl. saying that car can be shown but no one confirmed that they actually got approval with this method. so I have doubts in mind.

 @  yesIcan, you will have to maintain your bank account atleast to the minimum requirement in CAD (or equiv). You can show your property in addition to your bank balance but if you are accumulating the value of asset/property/car into proof of funds required by CHC then they won't accept as this. Secondly, if you are worried that there are dips in your bank balance then better you prepare a worksheet for them to show where money gone and how came back to you account.
Bank statements can be called anytime and it is totally on CHC's descretion, usually they call proof of funds (sometimes) before Provisional Acceptance and (mostly) with PPR+RPRF. It is always advised that applicant must keep funds in account till s/he get Visa stamped.

my problem is that I need to submit full documents now. I have to show 16k CAD but I only have 11k CAD savings in my bank. The rest I want to show in the form of car ownership as I do own a car but I don't have any property ownership to show. Now one solution is to send bank statement of 12K along with car ownership paper with full application and later at medical stage I can show the full amount.

second way is I borrow some money and and get a statement with ending balance of 16k and send my full app (just the bank statement no car ownership). but I may have to give this money back in meantime and bank statement can get below the required threshold. but I will upgrade the statement when get to the medical stage.

wht do u advise in this regard.

AoA All,

I sent in my application in early Oct 2009 to NS.  I provided my credit card info & all with the application.  In early December, I was told by my bank that my credit card transaction was declined as there was no 3-digit code provided at the time of transaction. Apparently, some one at the CIC in NS tried several times, but without the 3-digit code (found at the back of the card), nothing went through.  BTW, this code was not required on the fee form with the application, so I didn't send it.

I emailed to the PK HC in Islamabad, but I really do not expect an answer from them.

I am going to resend my application this week, and have to decide if I should resend the credit card info with the 3-digit code highlighted on the form, or should I send a DD.  I am not sure.

I would like to get some input from other individuals.  Also, which is the best source of DDs here in Karachi?

Really sorry to know that Rehan, I sent my application with credit card details as well and off course without 3 digit security code as it was not required and IT IS NOT required unless the payment is made via Internet.

If my application turns back to me, I would go for a DD. There are a few money changers at Shahra-e-Faisal who would make a DD for you. Also try Dollar East.

Congrats for your AOR and Sorry for not checking the forum for past few days.
Yar you can send money with IBAN (International Bank Account Number) to anyone anywhere in the world. So just transfer money in their account and keep the reference number with you.

You sent your application on 20th Nov 2009 and your credit has been charged already?
Mine is Nov 10th 2009 and I am yet to receive any news on this.

No. This is the AOR date. I sent my app on September 8.
