Fraz from Sargodha called to inform me that he has received his PA letter today. Congratulations Brother! You are 90% successful (or just as I said on phone, Pandra Aane Kamyab ho). Mubarak ho.

The letter also say that the medical papers will be dispatched to him in 'few weeks'.

So Bros, we can't complain now that CHC is not working! (Per saada ki banay ga rigmarole and Khalid Subhan? )

Dear S.K.,

I do not wish to involve in a debate with you on the eventual fate of somebody else's application. By forcing our point of views, the only problem which I foresee is the confusion which has been caused to the poor soul who would now run pillar to post to clarify this point. I could be wrong but I am on the safe side to advise him. Please go through EG-7 (IMM EG7000 (09-2009), a 44 page guide for FSW, and see the following statement on page-8.

*A one-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship AND at least 12 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study - 12 Points
*  Secondary school (also called high school) - 5 Points

OP6 states:
Officers should assess programs of study and award points based on the standards that exist in country of study. The regulation do not provide for comparison to Canadian Educational Standards;

In Pakistan Secondary School Certificate is awarded after 10 years of full time education.(5 Points)
After two years of further study the student is awarded two years Intermediate Certificate equals to 12 years of full time education.(12 Points)

To get 12 points applicant need to fulfill two requirements:
one year post secondary educational credential (Our Intermediate is of two years post secondary educational credential) and
12 years of full time education

Even if our Intermediate Certificate is not recognized as equal to One year post-secondary educational credential then still applicant will get 12 points for 12 years of full time education
Regulation states OP6:
If the applicant has an educational credential referred to in a particular paragraph in R78(2) but not total number of years of study required by that paragraph, officer should award the number of points set out in the paragraph that refers to number of years of study completed by applicant R78 (4)

We only have one paragraph which sets out 12 years of education and it gives us 12 points.

OP6 further states:
Educational credentials of accompanying spouse or common-law-parter:
Evaluate credentials as if the spouse were the principal applicant then award points as follows:
Where award under R78 would be 12 or 15 = 3 points

So you will get 3 points for your wife,s education

Dear Somey,

Degrees not recognized by HEC are also not recognized by CHC. So your basic education would count till intermediate in Commerce, giving you 12 points (as per S.K's explanation). Your spouse will contribute 4 points towards you. Your experience will give you full 21 points. (12+4+21=37)

Your Mrs will get 22 points for her education but will lose all points for experience. (experience - 0). You will contribute either '0' or '3' (as per S.K's explanation). I too believe that as you have more than 12 years of education, you are likely to contribute 3 points if your Mrs is the principal applicant. (22+0+3=25)

Now if you add the age, language and near relative points in your's or your Mrs. points, you can find out who is more eligible to be the principal applicant.

No. You will get 21 points from a really verifiable job. That makes the total to 46. Still you will need at least 21 points to take it to 67 of minimum (and mind you we are just hoping that you would contribute 3 points for your education. It could very well be zero). So for surety,you need 24 points. 10 come from age, and at least 14 from IELTS.
