@ Faisal892
Yar Faisal I personally don't think that you are going to get points for that work experience that's not in the list.
I also have 18 months experience as Business Intelligence (Info Sys) Manager while I was Project Manager Software Engineering for 1 year and Software Engineer for 3 years but I am claiming just 15 points only for 18 months (1-2 years) and not for the rest of 4 years as they are not in the list of 38 occupations. So it's better you always claim as less points as possible and try to gain more points in other areas.
Hope you will get your desired points.
Hot-Lier and other seniors can put more light on the issue.
Thanks

Buddies I want to ask you ppl a few things.. I stayed in England for 4 years and I know I would be needing a police certificate for that. I have recently sent my first docs to NS a week ago and now waiting for AOR. Now I want to know, when AOR is received by email or post, do they give 120 days time period to submit relevant docs to CHC Isb. in the same AOR or do we get a separate acknowledgement for that. I have not taken IELTS yet as I was unsure about this 120 days period but I want my IELTS results and UK/Pak police certificates to be ready by then. I have taken IELTS twice before both academic and securing 7 bands on both occasions so I am pretty much optimistic about that, but I need to have ample time for the police certificates also bearing in mind that they are usually valid up to 6 months before the docs are to received by embassies. So I need suggestions from you guys, should I apply for UK police certificate and take IELTS now or should I wait for AOR. If that 120 days time period starts with 1st AOR from NS then I believe I should start doing IELTS and Police certificate things. What do you guys suggest??? any ideas pals...

@ drwamin How should I send you the listening practice material? It can't be attached to email because of large size.
The best way is to go to the links provided on the IELTS thread of this forum and download.
Last but not the least option is, when you come t o karachi, I will give you all the IELTS material in USB. For this purpose you have to bring atleast a 4 GB USB.
People have posted many useful links on this forum.
My NOC IS 4131.
Best Wishes

Dear all,
I have seven years of working experience and out of seven years eighteen months as Finance Manager (included in 38 occupation list) and rest as Logistics/Procurement Manager (Not included in 38 occupations). I need to know how much marks will I get.
I am asking this question because yesterday I went to Noranex Islamabad and they told me that if have ateast one year experience in 38 designated occupations and rest of experience in non designated even then I can claim points for overall experience. I was in doubt and in order to double check I called Noranex Lahore office and they said the same thing.
I am confused because Noranex is a big name and one can not expect them to provide wrong information.
Please if any one having information about this issue could advise.
Regards
Faisal
what i learned from my seniors is that one should have only 1 year of experience in the 38 designated occupation ,for the rest of ur experience u can claim points provided that they comes under Skilled Type A,B,0 Any one if im wrong plz correct me

Dear! According to Op06-Eng Officer Must: • not take into account whether the applicant meets the “Employment requirements” description set forth in the NOC for the occupation(s) listed; • award points only if the applicant has performed the actions described in the lead statement of the particular NOC description and has performed at least a substantial number of the duties described in the “Main Duties” summary – including all the essential duties (R80(3));

Yes, otherwise 120 days from the date of AOR will be too less for all these things.

no one is replying to your question because no one knows the answer. better send an email to CHC Islamabad and ask them about the status of your application.

No News At All CHC, Islamabad need to add little fuel to this thread. As i see quiteness of CHC, Islamabad in October and November, It will be deffinatelly a slow time in December due to X-Mas and New Year vacations till 5th, Jan 2010. @ Tashah Clock is running very slow for us and predicting responses till Saturday InshaAllha . What do you think ?
