Why are you going for French language. I think you can improve English by half of the effort required for learning a new language.
I have downloaded lot of material from the net. If you are coming to karachi in near future, you can get it from me on USB or any other medium.
Wish you best of luck..
Do you use yahoo messenger of skype..
If you use skype then I can send the files to you directly.

THANKS hussain, yar, i use skype and my id is drwamin1.
i appreciate your help.

Thanks Hot -lier, for such good comments

The instructions in detail are available in the Visa office Specific Instructions Islamabad. In case your CHC visa office is Islamabad. Otherwise download the relevant visa office specific instruction booklet from cic.gc.ca

kindly, anyone can tell me, if i do six month course of french language, i wll have to giive any exam recomended by the cic. or cetiificate from the language center will be sufficient.
Please .
ha2922.
the siite is not working, sent link is correct?

Recomended test by CIC is tef. But I also had the experience of learning french for a couple of months. I dont know what is tef about but as my teacher told me that it is not even possible to clear teff after even a one year of french cource. But my teacher advised me as keeping the canadain high commission in his mind that normally if a person is with a shortage of 1 or 2 points and additionally have a certificate of 3 months of french language cource ( From approved institutes ) for example NUML or Alliance Francaise is considred to be a potentional applicant for canadian job market and awarded bonus point accordingly ( Up to the Immigration officer). Otherwise if you really want to get exactly that how much markes you can claim for your french proficency , you deffinatelly have to appear tef. I personally think Alliance Francaise is best institute for it. my teacher also gave me few examples in which people got 2 points for this 3 months certification.
@  Hot lier
Buddy will u plz tell me the location of Alliance Francaise and a fee structure of it ...i really wanna go through it and + the certificate of 3 month is issued by the institution ??and this is approved?

  @  peacejob

After AOR we have to submit the full application to CHC with all these forms which were sent to CIO plus other documents like IELTS result, Police Clearance certificate, Notorized copies of Degree and transcrips, D.o.B certificates, Nikah Nama (in case of Married) , Proof of funds, Work experience, and Photographs according to the given specification.
It is better to read the Instruction booklet mentioned in my previous post.

 @ Najeebkhan84

Your sincere advise is highly appreciated. I also gave same advise to Drwamin.
I have seen that once people make up their mind for something and they go for it.
Lot of material about IELTS is available free on the net. There is no need to go to any institute for preparation.

 @  drwamin
The second option for you.
Go to Urdu bazar and you will find complete set of IELTS (Books + CDs).
These are pirated books and cds but cheaper than the British counsel.
I paid Rs.750, in 2006, for one book and one cd to the british counsel.

True, there are more consultants in the market than there are pan shops !! everyone tells you a new story.. I'am really not aware of the process, the ups and downs, documentation and everything else, that is why i was looking for a reliable consultant, i guess i'll just keep roaming around to gather information and apply on my own.

In your view, will 2 points for French be enough for my case? and 15 years of education gives you 22 points or just 20? Oh and my relative is my Aunt, My Father's sister (blood related) so i'am pretty sure i'll get those points as well.

Thank you very much for your concern.

Lilanis (Moazam and Sikandar) are liars, cheats and frauds like so many others out in the market. Deal with them at your own risk. You will not be interviewed for your "French Connection". Go ahead and learn French, it takes minimum of six months to do the basic and earns you just 2 points?Huh

Just another thought, get married to a highly educated person to get additional 5 points....costs you a lot your life time, and,

Also please ensure before you apply that your relative really gives you 5 points.....

Yah, it is nice to hear that Smiley i thought i was the only one in this NOC section. I myself want to apply ASAP but dont want to get rejected on any basis or leave any holes for them to question on !! oh and here the break down of my points:

Education      25 / 22
Language      24 /14
Work Exp      21 / 15
Age               10 / 10
Adaptability   10 / 5

Total Score  100 /66

 @ ha2922

i can understand drwamin position, ppl think its a landmark to achieve(those who unaware of format) and once they know the format, all is just their Skill remains,if they are average in English they can easily go through it and score MAX points and yes its ur luck that plays very important role especially in Listening part the last 10 are bit difficult to catch :)in my case i got 6 band in listening i lost in the middle :)and that didn't able to catch the speaker my luck.

 @ MSMIRZA

buddy when i planned for that i had a BBA(4 years) and its only gives me 20 points so i started my MBA 1 year program to claim 25 points bcoz that makes 17 years education and 67 points, and i went about 25 consultant in Khi (it almost all) and every one told different story and along with i went there with some homework (which i learned from Gurus and friends on this Website)so that help me alot to caught them...\and now i am very much clear my doubt and its really easy to apply by urself.i found everyone here is very humble and ready to help others.

We are Free of cost Consultant yaar
