Ra00 and Imran Bhai, Nice to hear from you both. May Allah (SWT) grant you your precious jobs at the earliest. This is the dark side of immigration and most people are unaware of it. I get scared seeing the number and material of the applicants. I hope we understand what we are doing when we apply for immigration. I took fifteen years to decide to (finally) apply to immigrate for a shorter period (4-5 years) and fall back to Pakistan with respect. The necessity is to get my children get highly educated at a lower cost and to get a passport from a "first world country" so that they do not feel helpless when they are looking for jobs locally or worldwide. We are Pakistani & Muslims by core of our hearts and will inshaAllah remain so! For an unprepared immigrant, petty jobs will lead to financial burdens, which lead to frustrations and finally one returns to Pakistan hopelessly, or opts to settle there at the lowest level of that society (a matter of great shame to portray our national identity). I recommend that all those who plan to immigrate should plan it in a way that they can survive without a job for at least one year and also should plan to get your relevant Canadian educational qualification during that one year. If you go in "student mode" or with a "student type of mindset" then probably the transition would be easy for you. So people please plan, plan, plan and prepare yourself to compete in every aspect for a successful life after immigration. I earnestly pray for all that your dreams come true and Allah (SWT) gives us the wisdom to make the right decision and shower his blessings on all Muslim Ummah. (Ameen) Sincerely, Manj Dear Friends Job scenario in Canada Grass is really not green...... survival jobs(8 to 9.5 $ per hour) are easily available but to get a good job related to our field is not an easy task . we cant say that job opportunities are less..Lots of job opening are there but its very difficult to get a call for interview because of competition. Canadian Employer prefer Canadian Education Holders for good jobs Some of my family members are well settled in Canada. Most of them have to study in Canada to attain a good job. so i think Canadian study is must for any sober job. I am also looking for this Keep me in your prayers
Baqra eid fever is finally on!!!! ohh missing this great event ,pooray saal iss event ka intezar hota tha ,:(((((((( , ammi mujhe gher jana hai )) , 100% agree with comments but with each and every word of your post.

Lilanis (Moazam and Sikandar) are liars, cheats and frauds like so many others out in the market. Deal with them at your own risk. You will not be interviewed for your "French Connection". Go ahead and learn French, it takes minimum of six months to do the basic and earns you just 2 points? Just another thought, get married to a highly educated person to get additional 5 points....costs you a lot your life time, and, Also please ensure before you apply that your relative really gives you 5 points.....Yah, it is nice to hear that i thought i was the only one in this NOC section. I myself want to apply ASAP but dont want to get rejected on any basis or leave any holes for them to question on !! oh and here the break down of my points: Education 25 / 22 Language 24 /14 Work Exp 21 / 15 Age 10 / 10 Adaptability 10 / 5 Total Score 100 /66

Bank certificate generally gets accepted at early stage of final paper submission, but they would need only a 3-6 months Bank Statement when they finally ask for proof of funds at the time of PP request. You are in our prayers. Salams all, Will a bank certificate stating that you have manitained this much amount will be enough for Proof of Fund or we will also need to attach the bank statement? Thanks in advance and please remeber each other in your prayers (including me ) Regards, afaraz

Ra00 & Imran.
I suggest you start doing some e-business until you get a good job. You are there in one of the land of opportunities and you can easily make grands doing business on Internet as millions of people do in west. I myself did that for 4 years while I was in UK, so I can help you get along with that. It's easy and require almost NO investment and I am not talking about Internet campaigns or marketing but selling real stuff on auction websites like ebay.
Hope you and other fellas find good jobs soon inshaAllah.

@ Manj - yar I replied your pm.
@ Imran - yar pm your email to me and I will let you know what I am talking about, in detail.
Generally speaking guys from Pakistan who have moved abroad can sell stuff on ebay.com or ebay.co.uk or ebay.com.au after buying them cheap from Pakistan/China. Buy the stuff in wholesale lots from local market in Pakistan, have it shipped over to where you are (e.g. Canada) and then sell them on ebay. These could be cloths, mobile phone accessories, toys, artificial jewelery or household products etc.
Search on ebay which products are hot and you are likely to buy them on ebay. Try to think of what Pakistani goods are famous. Sporst goods??? Leather stuff??? .. you can sell anything from needle to a plane on ebay.
Thanks

Recomended test by CIC is tef. But I also had the experience of learning french for a couple of months. I dont know what is tef about but as my teacher told me that it is not even possible to clear teff after even a one year of french cource. But my teacher advised me as keeping the canadain high commission in his mind that normally if a person is with a shortage of 1 or 2 points and additionally have a certificate of 3 months of french language cource ( From approved institutes ) for example NUML or Alliance Francaise is considred to be a potentional applicant for canadian job market and awarded bonus point accordingly ( Up to the Immigration officer). Otherwise if you really want to get exactly that how much markes you can claim for your french proficency , you deffinatelly have to appear tef. I personally think Alliance Francaise is best institute for it. my teacher also gave me few examples in which people got 2 points for this 3 months certification.

Why are you going for French language. I think you can improve English by half of the effort required for learning a new language. I have downloaded lot of material from the net. If you are coming to karachi in near future, you can get it from me on USB or any other medium. Wish you best of luck.. Do you use yahoo messenger of skype.. If you use skype then I can send the files to you directly. kindly, anyone can tell me, if i do six month course of french language, i wll have to giive any exam recomended by the cic. or cetiificate from the language center will be sufficient.
