AOA, Dear SK/Manj/Domingo/HL/Seniors

If family memders are not included in main application for PR, are settlement of funds/Proof of funds still required for the  whole family or for just main applicant.

Dear Jojobaba,

Your query is kind of ambiguous...do you mean "not included" mentioned in main application as "not accompanying"? I reproduce the explanation from OP-06 for your clarity;

  • Section 9.2—Settlement funds:
    funds required include both accompanying and non-accompanying dependants;
    • LICO levels updated

    9.2 Settlement funds
    Pursuant to R76(1)(b), the officer will determine if the applicant has sufficient funds available for settlement in Canada.
    The amount of funds are assessed according to the applicant's family size using 50% of Statistics Canada's most current Low Income Cut-off (LICO) for urban areas with populations of 500,000 or more.
    Note: In terms of funds required, the number of the applicant's family members includes both accompanying and non-accompanying dependants.
    Although the amount may change yearly, at time of publication the required funds are equal to or greater than the amount listed below for each family size:.....blah blah.

My take; you need to show funds for the size of your family mentioned in the main application, whether accompanying or not!

Best regards,

Manj

Dear Domingo Bhai

Now you make me smile. Thanks.
I have become edict to this thread.
Most of the time, I just log on and read the posts.

I am waiting for AOR(initial from CIO). I have applied in NOC 4131. I have been living in Karachi since I was 18. My place of birth is Rahim Yar Khan.
I am worried about Birth Certificate, as I do not have it. What should I do about it. So that my case is not delayed.
Second Question.
I have done Masters from Sweden as a full time student from 2006 to 2007. Certainly Police certificate will be required for this time period from Sweden.
What should I do about this?
Should I apply for the police certificate now? I do not know how much time they are going to take it.I know that police certificate should not be more than 3 months old.
Kindly consider that my time period in Sweden is 2006 & 2007. The certificate will cover this period in any case. Whether it was issued with in past 3 months or not.
What should I do.
All seniors of the forum are requested to guide me and provide answers.
Thanks

Ahmad

I have three questions,can anyone guide me?
1- Is there any delay for Canada Immigration for General Practitioner Category at CIO?
2-If i pay through credit card, may i just need to mention my credit card information in FORM 5620E or need to attach something else?

3-There is one Item on 5620E (Authorization Number, may i need to mention my credit card secret number there or just leave it black?

 @  All........................ As we started this thread a time ago and many of us even have recieved PA, Medicals, PPR OR PR visa'S and some gone to canada. But now i have noticed the time division from Jan, 2009-July 2009. During this period I physically examined the developemnt in processing and saw people updating news on daily basis (From chc, Islamabad). I am just curious or concerned about the quiteness after August, 2009.

In my opinion the most delayed cases are Manj bhai and Rigmorale and I PERSONALLY believe that they both were late due to security purpose and now are the part of this overall delay and strongly believe that they are approved. They just got delayed for security and now become the part of this delay. I know few people out of this forum which applied and have not recieved even PA after 100 Days. There is nothing wrong with their case because there points are more strong then even mine.

Now I have start thinking about the Quota system and might be this quota system will bring good news in January 2010. But a great allert to the the people who have not still applied bec if this is the rush and delay in fast track due to quota system and they have to finalize the cases in 8-12 months then deffinatelly need to improve the point system or reduce to keep few professions on magic list. This is the only case they can handle this fast track and Old cases smoothly, Otherwise it will be mess in 2010.

Comments and anaylasis please?
