Under which NOC did you apply and for documents nortarized I think you have to nortarized from pak .
Salam everyone,

I found this useful resource after painstakingly googling the net to look for relevant information about my queroes. I must appreciate all the participants who are putting their heart and soul together to put together such a wonderfful knowledge management system.

I am 27 years old Pakistani living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I sent my initial application for me and my wife to Nova Scotia on Oct 11, 2009.

-Depending upon your experiences, how soon can I get a response from them?

-As I am living in Saudi Arabia, how can I get the photocopies of my documents notarized here? Did anyone do it in Saudi Arabia? Is it even possible? Please share.

-If anyone obtained Police Certificate from Saudi Arabia, please share your experience.

Thanks and Reards,  kaafmeem

Hey Guys!!!!!

Alhamdulillah I reached Toronto on 16 Oct. Immigration documentation ws very smooth.hardly it took 2-3 minutes.

I had one bad experince at Islamabad airport while checking in. Anti norcotics guy took US$20 (initilally he had asked US$50 but after bargaining I was able to pay 20) as a bribe otherwise he told me to create issue:(

I also lost US$5 at Pearson Toronto Airport. Here at ther airport trolly to carry luggage is not free of cost. you have to pay $2 per trolly. i had 5 big bags anf three hand carry. so i rented two trolly for $4 dollar. when i came home my aunti informed me that i could get back my $4 if i had returned trolly. But as you know we pakistanis are very NAWAB:)

I am really thankful to all of you guys and request to pray for a successful life.

 @ ali786leo

Thanks. I am applying under NOC: 4131. I have a couple of questions more.

1. I am taking IELTS on Dec 12, 2009 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Can I ask them to send my results directly to CIC?
2. How can I obtain Police Certificates from Pakistan while in Saudi Arabia?
3. I plan to liquidate some jewellery to obtain the funds? Does it matter that your bank statements should show funds for last six months.

Regards,

kaafmeem

So when it is said the initial application can be rejected and application fee is returned, what could be the reasons of rejection if appliccant suitability is not assessed before AOR? the reason I am asking this is because a consultant told me that he will refund his fee if my initial application is rejected? Apology for asking too many questions

I would appreciate comments from experts, Thanks

@ Rao+Imran.................... Really Nice to see that finally you are in toronto and had a smooth  journey to destination. Really bad to learn abt the experience of bribery at Islamabad Airport and this is really shameful for those people. I think i have to be ready Smiley)) but not for dollars but for more Smiley) Rao bhai did they checked your funds physically or just asked abt it at toronto airport? i am little curious abt it.

Rao bhai, Mubarak Ho. I called you today but the mobile was off. I was under the impression that you are leaving on 23rd. Anyhow, wishing you goodluck for a successful life in Canada. I am sure this $20 bribe will be your last one.

Yaar, tu kya trolley ghar lay gaee. If yes, than its not bad for $4 lol

 @  RAO

Good to hear from you, i am travelling on sunday morning 18th OCT (after few hours) and your post has definatly cleared my doubts. Wish you best of luck.

 @  domingo

We have to park the trolly at the stand to get the dollar back , if we leave some where else then we forfit the dollar. This is international practice may be Rao was just too excited that he forgot.

Canadian PR use to take 5/6 yrs but we were happy. Now it takes max 1 year but we can't wait and before filling application start asking, when will i get med/Passport request? Do your home work, check forum previous pages read CIC site and respect seniors
