dear aamir

the CHC will send you the document check list after the NS would have forwarded your case to the former.  Also visit the cic.ca and find the document with title "step 4" which comprises the check list of document demanded by the CHC.
But one thing, you must prepare all the documents which you have referred in your initial application like experience certificates, marriage contract (if married) translation, transcripts and degrees copies dully notarised, birth certificate etc

thanks

Age: 25

Nationality: Pakistani

Profession: Civil/Construction Engineer

Education: BS Civil Engineering

Working experience: less than two years (in December 2009, 2 yrs will be completed)

Languages: Advance English

My Brother is Canadian citizen living in Montreal.

Avaiable funds: Unknown

Self-assesment score was 68 with less than 2 yr experience and it was 70 for less than three yr and more than two yr.

In a few days my brother's wife is going to Canada and he said that as soon as she arrives there, he will sponsor me.

Now i am asking that will my brother be able to Sponsor me that soon and that if i apply how much time will it take for the CHC to complete my application so. Moreover, i have heard that u can also apply from canada for immigration, can my brother do that for me?

Chasm9a

Your brother do not need to sponsor you at all, you just apply for immigration If you think you have 67 or more than that passing marks and establish your relation in documentation through paper work in order to get the marks for your adaption.  By sponsoring it will not be called an immigration process under FSW.

Dear Ontario,

Your birth place is Dubai, so what is the issue about? The birth certificate from the hospital will be sufficient (even if your parents did not register with Pakistan Embassy at that time) for submitting your case to Islamabad CHC, Pakistan. Other documents like Matric certificate, NIC & Passport also suffice for your birth certificate at Islamabad CHC, Pakistan.

Dear Manj/Hot lier

My birth place is  Dubai..i have the birth certificate of Dubai hospital... will it be sufficient for the CHC to prove my birth country or what else they can demand..im writing this note to counter check my knowledge...
thanks

you can't apply as FSW because civil engineers are not on the list of 38 eligible occupations. however, if you think you have at least more than one year experience as a construction manager, then you can apply as FSW because construction managers are on the list of 38 eligible occupations.

about your brother sponsoring you, he can't sponsor you directly as independent brothers and sisters can't be sponsored. but hang on there, there could be a way. certain canadian provinces have a provision for sponsoring relatives as PNP under General Family streams. so this depends which province your brother is living in. as per my knowledge, almost all the canadian provinces except Ontario and British Columbia give provision to their residents to sponsor their relatives as PNP under Family Stream. also, your brother needs to meet the basic sponsorship requirements to sponsor you. e.g. if your brother is living in Alberta, he should be living in Alberta for at least 2 years to sponsor you. if he is living in Saskatchewan, he should be living there for at least 1 year. this may be different for different canadian provinces. now the question is that which relatives are allowed to be sponsored as PNP under Family Stream?... or what are the requirements that your brother and you have to meet in order to go this way? to find the answers to such questions, have a look at the websites for that specific canadian province.
