Hi everbody...
I am new here and I will be appliying next Month InshAllah if every thing goes smooth
I have a question from all da seniors..

My situation is as under...
I have done BE Mechanical Engineering and have 2.5 yrs of experience relating to it.
Then I did MSc Petroleum Engineering and have almost 1.5 yrs of experience relating to it.

Now the total experience I have is almost 4yrs, but the probleum is, can I get the points by combining these two experiences as both are Type A skills yet the two degrees are different from each other.

Kindly tell me if I can claim for the 21 poitns by combining the two experiences.

 @  Driller
Yes you can claim 21 points by combining these experiences...........You must have minimum one year contineous job experience in those 38 professions to get eligible to apply,( listed in minesterial instruction) and further for your total 4 year experience you can claim 21 points.

What other comments Please SK, Rao, Domingoand Imran please come forward.

Do you fall in those 38 professions?

If you send directly your application to Nova Scotia then normally it takes 30-40 days for reply but i am not sure that how much time is needed for this local transit...I think the date when your application transferd to Nova Scotia ,afterwards it should take the standard time like i meantioned 30-40 days to reply from there and they will reply to CHC, iSLAMABAD AND LATER THEY WILL SEND YOU a letter to submitt the documents if qualify for initial stage. It is bit lenghty then direct procedure, not sure how much time.... but appreciate if others have this experience and reply.........

Hi AliAzizKhatak,

I do agree with Hot-Lier and most important point was asked to you is "does you NOC falls under 38 categories?" if not then what did you mention in your application. This question will help us to figure out the actual status on your application.

Regards, Amer

you should mention islamabad office as you are currently living in pakistan. you could only mention london if you were currently living in london and had been legally admitted into london for a minimum period of one year. no one can say how long this will take. but as per CIC, all the skilled worker applications under the  new rules should take 6-12 months for the completion.

Can you please provide me a link of official website where it is written that that process will take around 6 - 12 months ? Does is also applicable to Islamabad office ?

Thanks in Advance.
