Dear ashaf, In my opinion you can choose 0213 as your NOC code. Descibed else where are an extention of the NOC code they are written with.
I am positive that your case will be approved if your duties match 0213. I have done the same thing with another NOC code, and uptil now my case is moving in a positive direction.
SASIF.
Only 0213 is in their current list of 38 qualified NOCs. My understanding is that if you don't have at least 1 year of continuous experience in one of those 38 NOCs, then your application will be returned without processing: http://www.canadavisa.com/new-instructions-federal-skilled-worker-applications.html

If both 0213 and 2171 are equally best match for your duties then I recommend using 0213 since you then do have experience for that NOC. You can apply as long as your duties match significantly with those enlisted for 0213. The experience letter that you'll send on your company letterhead later when asked for full application submission would validate that you in fact have been performing the duties mentioned for 0213 (and they'd call them for verification too).

I would apreciate if anybody could guide me on my case as described below.
=========================================================

In ministerial instruction list (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp ), the occupation most relevant to me is:
NOC 0213: Computer and Information Systems Managers

Main duties for NOC code 0213 are listed as on web site (http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=0213):
•Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP) departments and companies
•Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
•Meet with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
•Assemble and manage teams of information systems personnel to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and tele communications software, networks and information systems
•Control the budget and expenditures of the department, company or project
•Recruit and supervise computer analysts, engineers, programmers, technicians and other personnel and oversee their professional development and training.

You see that these duties are generic managerial level duties for Computer and Information Systems profession. These duties are performed both for softwate development and softwate quality assurance.

My specialization in Computer and Information Systems profession is in quality assurance field. I have ten years experience in software quality assurance field. And out of these ten years, four years experience is of managerial level. I am currently working as Software/Information systems quality assurance analyst/manager.

Exact NOC code for Information systems quality assurance analysts is 2171.This code (2171) is listed in “Classified elsewhere” section on description page of NOC code 0213.

I do almost all duties described as main duties for NOC code 0213 in the quality assurance field of Computer and Information Systems.

I assume that I fall in 0213 professional duties. Please comments on if my understanding is correct?

if I am not wrong then I need your expert opinion on what NOC code should I mention in initial application? Whether it should be 0213 0r 2171?

Best Regards
Ashraf

Thanks a lot Dear Sasif!

Asalamalaikum all...

Thanks all for your very needful advise on my confusions...now we are going to get my nikahnama corrected and just need to get my Police NOC.

We have heard that we have two handling agents for Canada immi...
1. FedEx
2. TCS

from these we have heard that FedEx is very irresponsible in handling cases; most of the times, they dont put the document properly together, in cant even guide you of what should go in the envelope. moreover, many people who I know closely and applied through fedex, have had there case rejected due to missing documents (HuhHuh??) even when they gave all there documents.

No such story from TCS. all has been good with them so far...

any body has any such news or knowledge, so we may be better prepared to use the best agent???

Thanks and take care

 @ khanaliaa
I have a good expereince with fedex and tcs. I have used the service of fedex for my first application to CIO,NS, Sydney and that packet was delivered excatly on 4th day after despatch as per their commitment and my ecas status also showing that they received my application on the day which fedex website showed me. I used tcs service for CHC ISB, as i know they are local courier and they can deliver my documents more effecienlty and they did so. The documents were delivered next day.
This is my expereince which i am sharing

Dear all,

Kindly let me know the details of enquiries CHC holds regarding job...do they contact the signatory of job letter only or they can also contact any other agency like HR deptt. in the organization...because it is quite difficult to convince the HR staff to respond for your clarification but everyone can do it with his/her immediate supervisor....plz share your experiences and all related information for public knowledge.
