Thank you Lala Gee! Actually, I want to do graduation in Applied Linguistics. In Toronto city, York and Toronto Universities offer admissions but their criterion are very hard so hardly any non native speaker gets admission there. But comparatively Carlton university Ottawa is easier one. Is there any other university in Toronto to offer the admission in same course leniently.
There are three Government/Public Universities in Toronto ...York University, Toronto University and Ryerson University. I would suggest that you should land in Toronto and apply in different Universities through an Ontario Universities admission web site http://www.ouac.on.ca/ (this site is meant for admission in all the universities in Ontario). If you are really interested in improving qualification, then you can land in any city near the University of your choice. Within the jurisdiction of Ontario province you will get OSAP funding and grant to pursue your studies. If you are not working and have family, you can apply for OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Programme) funding + grant which will normally cover your living and educational expenses. Beside this you will also receive Ontario child benefit (if you have kids below 18 year of age) that will be an additional source of income to manage your expenses. Good luck lala

Dear All,
We successfully landed at Toronto Pearson on 27th July. The hardest part through out the journey was the long and tiring 14 hours of direct flight. Once landed, the process was quite straight forward and smooth. The immigration officer only asked how much money we were carrying. He didn't ask to show the funds to him. We hired a porter at the time of baggage collection since we were carrying lots of suitcases. The customs official wasn't interested in looking at the pictures of the jewellery that we were carrying with us as well as the excel sheets of the items that we were carrying. I asked him again if he needs to see the jewellery pictures and he said they are needed only if the jewellery is included in "Goods to Follow". Right now, we are living in a hotel in North York. We will go tomorrow to Services Canada for SIN and then to the bank to open up an account. I am starting my new job on 1st August as I was fortunate enough to secure a job in my own field before landing. Also, I have an interview to attend tomorrow with a company in Mississauga. All in all, it feels good to be in Canada so far, but having a feeling of isolation as well since we used to have a very healthy social life back home. Hope to overcome this feeling in future. More on all these things to come as the days go by. Best wishes to all.
Sincerely.
Good and congrats bro, may God bless u with the bestesttttt future filled with success - amen This is the best part of being attached to these forums, on every successful case u also learn about a new experience and share the happiness as well .... Best of luck every one

Salam everyone,
It might seem like beating about the bush but I really want to have somewhat clearer picture about the timeline to make some important personal decisions. Therefore, I request the very knowledgeable members of this forum to shed some light if they would on the following:
1. I reside in KSA, does this PPR-1 and PPR-2 thing apply to me? or will they ask me for the passports directly? 2. I received the 6-12 month wait letter on 05-Apr-2012, what would be a reasonable estimate of the time I can LAND in Canada?
I would like to thank all of you in advance.
Best regards,
