Dear, I, with my husband, plan to land in Calgary by end of Aug 2012. We are also expecting our first baby around end Nov and it makes us more nerves about coming to an entirely new place with minimum information about it. Have so many questions like; What kind of challenges we may have face with a 6 month permanent lady especially when winter is setting in? What kind of housing/place is better for woman in this condition? How to find a rented place to live and which area (crime free and with good access/transport/train system)? Should we plan to buy a vehicle or we can survive without it there? How much a good condition second hand pickup truck/car usually cost? What on avg. monthly budget we should plan for a family of two + a baby? Being Muslim I would also look for information about hilal food, Mosques and Muslim community etc Huh...and so many more....... PLEASE! Share your experiences advises and provide as much information as possible even beyond aforementioned questions God bless you all Thanks

Dear Forum Members;
After dispatching updated Forms, PCC & Demand Draft for RPR Fee, in the third week of May 2012, I sent e-mail to LVO, requesting for the confirmation of receipt , but have not received any response as yet.
TCS confirmed the delivery of documents to LVO on 30th May 2012 signed by IAN.
My money changer (Dollor East) confirmed the non-encashment of DD, that I dispatched with my documents.
Is there any one with similar experiences ? or any opinion on the situation.?
Regards

You better inquire about encashement of your DD , It may clear some situation . and Kindly confirm, three letter designator of the recipient, who received your documents. (mine is the IAN as confirmed by TCS) REGARDS

Dear Pakistanis, Many Greetings! With the blessing of Allah me and family got our PRVISA and COPR 3 days ago. My application process started since May 2009, technically it was March 2009, this was the time with processing time was declared 12 months but it took more then 38 months (not forgetting that I became a father of 2 children in the process). Even though it took more then three years it was better then waiting 5 years but then again duration doesn't matter what matters is that you get what you struggle for because we have to struggle anyways and its another 5 year process to get the citizenship. My medicals were done in December 2011 and got the PPR1 in March,2012 but I delayed it by one month as my second child was born. My visa was issued in London on 29th May,2012 and I was notified to submitt passports on 15th June,2012 and got them in exactly 14 days. I plan to land in Saskatoon,Saskatchewan and have taken admission in University of Saskatchewan so that I could start studies right away.Any one else going to Saskatoon? I couldnt really find any concrete discussions on Saskatoon in the forums. I will be going for the orientation in Islamabad conducted by IOM, any one else joining the orientation session? It will good to meet some of you in person. Now I have got the visa after 3 years of patiently waiting the whole idea of moving to another country and starting from scratch is overwhelming and only way to keep me tension down is not to have high expectations and leaving the past behind in Pakistan, work toward a steady development in Canada. Immigration policies are rapidly changing every where and may every Pakistani gets the chance to live a life with dignity no matter where. I look to share my experiences in the coming months and also extend support to my brothers and sisters from Pakistan coming to Saskatoon,Saskatchewan.
with warm regards AR
My heartiest congratulation on ur success
