Also by doing this (may be u had sent CSQ(s) for ur case update) CHC is just trying to pend/delay/reach JULY-12. after that they will start MR(s)/PPR(s)  with full pace after allocation of Visa quota.

BUT MAJOR thing to think is......... ONLY LONDON embassy is waiting for visa quota..............CHC-India is sending MR(s) they are in their full swing....

Dear All!

I am here after a long time but I want to share some vital info about CAIPs / GCMS notes as I have ordered it 3 times myself.

1) First of all whenever you order CAIPS / GCMS your visa office gets informed and it is noted in the same notes and you can see this entry in next notes in incoming correspondence but there are no adverse affects and you can order as many times as you like.

2) Some info can be hidden or omitted from your notes as it is according to their act that some info is exempted from release under access of information act 16(1)(c) or 15(1) or 19(1) etc.. So whenever you get CAIPS / GCMS email or letter first check if they have talked about any act like 15(1) or 16(1)(c) etc and if it is so then it is for sure that some info can be omitted or hidden from your notes and you can observe a whitener be placed on some parts of notes.

I have seen for people whose job verification was done and who had concerns about their files received this kind of GCMS email

"The processing of your request is now complete and I am pleased to enclose the documents requested. Certain information qualifies for exemption pursuant to section(s) 16(1)(c) injurious to the enforcement of any law of Canada or a province or the conduct of lawful investigations, 15(1) International affairs and defence of the Access to Information Act."

It was interesting to see that in first GCMS notes before verification of job all the concerns were hidden under section 16(1)(C) and 15(1) and once the job verification was done then in next notes they have uncovered the concerns  . So if you receive email like above be prepared they have concerns about your file which they are hiding.

I hope the above helps people in sorting out CAIPS / GCMS.

Thank you all for reading this............

Nice observation. I have received CAIPS Notes but CIC withheld certain portion of CAIPS record u/s 19 (1). I think it is with regard to deep security check/background check and they dont want to disclose their procedure for these checks.

Sibbi,

I think this is standard wording. Under privacy act of canada there are certain exemptions available as not to release certain information. In immigraton cases the information related to the process adopted / agencies contacted for backgound / security checks might be kept confidential. Though this information might be documented in our CAIPS / GCMS but not released under the above mentioned act.

Hi eemoo!

This is not standard. I have seen many people's notes. For normal people they did not talk about any exemptions but for those Where section 16(1)(C) or 15(1) was mentioned,  job concerns were raised and job verifications (investigations) were done and initially that info was hidden in notes.

Thanks

I was not fully sure about the Act. But one thing was clear that they will never ever disclose the procedures / activities carried out to do background checks in CAIPS.

Sibbi got 19(1) and I didn't see job verification done for 19(1). I am not sure what kinda information they exempt for 19(1). I think here they only talk about personal info

http://www.oic-ci.gc.ca/eng/inv_inv-gui-ati_gui-inv-ati_section_19.aspx

Section 19 - Personal Information

The Provision:

19(1)   Subject to subsection (2), the head of a government institution shall refuse to disclose any record requested under this Act that contains personal information as defined in section 3 of the Privacy Act.

Arsh, I meant in your first notes if you get GCMS email like that in which they talk about 16(1)(c) or 15(1) that means they have concerns about your employment and they will verify but at the same time they will hide info in your notes and won't tell you the concerns.

To check if the employment has been verified you will have to order notes again and later you will see these concerns are visible now and stated that job verified or your visa office informed but the text of email will stay as 16(1)c or 15(1)

If you want to check employment verification has been done or not you will have to order GCMS notes again and check notes of immigration officer. If it is done he would state that in notes that verification done and visa office informed.

Hope it helps and remove the confusion... Smiley... Remember job verification is not done for every one, only for those who have doubts. Stay calm and kool if you sent every thing genuine and well presented.... Smiley
