I believe she is from Pindi....Smiley

Sir is there any need to translate the computerized id card in english?

if yes then from where we can get it done?

if you are in Karachi, then near civic centre with the notary public people, you can very conviniently have such translations made, they have the format and everything, and they will notarize it for you too.

Assalam-u-Alikum Pakistan,

I'm going to apply in dec-09 & my family inclu. my wife & 9 month old son.

I want to ask here that with first submission of the application for assessment to Canada, do I need to pay fees for all accompanying family members or at this initial stage only fee of principal applicant is acceptable.

Further, do anybody have info. on possible amendments in the 38 occupation list?

with Salam,

Salman

Wa' alaikum Salaam Brother,

Option - 1: Pay only for yourself and not for your remaining family members, showing other family members not accompanying (in the initial application to NS, Sydney, Canada) - Workable, but unsafe method, it can backfire or cause unnecessary delays. The fee is refundable in case of rejection anyway.

Option - 2: Pay for all accompanying members. - Safe method, peace of mind. The fee is still refundable in case of rejection anyway.

For the other part of your query, the present changes were announced (and made effective) in Feb 2008, but nobody had the info about the 38 NOC list till it was posted on official website on Dec 12, 2008, not even the Canadian High Commissions. So how would anyone know about future changes to the listed 38 now?

With regards,

Manj

Hi Seniors. Need  your valuable advise.

My spouse has done master's in islamic studies from University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan A well reputed and recognized Universty in Paksitan.

But my spouse got this mater's degree as a private candidate, i mean, she didn't attend any class in the universty. Rather, she had been studying at her home.

My Question is:
Can i still claim for adapatbility marks agaisnt my spuce's education?. As I am confused this forum is voicing that immigration departmengt of canda don't give marks agaisnt the education attained as a private candidate. Is it true?
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pakistan-application-forum-t19839.0.html;msg147173

So, seniors, please confirm: Is education, attained as a private candidate, considered by CIC for points or not?

Please advice....

Thanx Dear Manj.

Still needs answer.

So, studying as a private candidate does not make any difference when we calculate points of education? No matter you went university or not? If you have got recognized Degree it is more than enough?

Please advise.

Dear Aaj,

Please clear me about your ecas status and the date of immigration officer reply after submitting your full application;

If there are two lines in the status, upper one reading "Withdrawn" and the lower one reading "In Process", then you need not worry. The withdrawn thing has confused so many, including me, on the forum, but probably it is for the NS status. They are 'off-loading'. The CHC Islamabad is still maintaining your file and inshahAllah you should hear positive from them soon.

Manj

Hello, need to discuss a problem. I applied under 0213 in Jan 2009, received acceptance in Feb 2009 from Sydney Nova Scotia. Sent documents to embassy in Pakistan in April 2009 (without IELTS, as I opted written submission), received reply from Immigration Officer that, you secured 10 for age, 21 for experience, 25 for education and 4 for adaptability, results to 60 points. Officer did not accept written submission and gave ZERO points in laguage. Officer gave final chance to submit IELTS. IELTS result submitted on Sep 05, 2009 with (6 in writing, 6.5 in listening, 7 in reading and 8 in speaking) which according to CIC website results in 12 points. If totals with 60 then it will become 72 points, corsses 67 requirement.

Online status of application shows that decission made and case withdrew on september 12, 2009.

What to do now, as I have sent IELTS result on Sep 05, 2009. I am afraid of the result is being delivered to the key person or not?

Any help please.

Dear Manj, please see details as follows:

Case submitted to CIC Sydney Nova Scotia: 14 Jan 2009
Received eligibility complete and case file transferred ti ebmassy in ISB : 29 Jan 2009
Letter received fmbassy ISB asking for documents including passports and IELTS : 15 Feb 2009
I sent all documents with passports and written submission (instead of IELTS) : 15 April 2009 (within 120 days)
Receieved reply from ISB ebmassy (with returning of all documents including passports) that you are unable to get 67 points. However as officer did not accept the written submission therefore allows you to go finally for IELTS. submit result within 90 days. Letter received on 03 July 2009.
I registered for IELTS for Aug 22, 2009 and sent result to them on September 05, 2009.
Current status on CIC website is: Withdrawn, on first line and Decission Made, on second line.

Senior members
1. I have a two-year degree, private B.A. (Comp. Sceince & Mathematics). Would private B.A. be acceptable or not? There is nothing mentioned on the degree as to whether or not I was private or regular. So will I get 20 points for 14 years education or not?

2. My work experience in IT sector was of 2 years, but then I switched my industry to advertising. My cumulative work experience is more than 6 years. Will I get points for 2 years of skilled work (IT catagory) only or 4 years collective? Someone has told me that even if I have 1 year experience of skilled catagory work, CHC will account for the extra non-relevant job experience as well (in my case it's IT for 2 years and advertising for 4 years).

3. I have been told that the policy is being revised and will be changed in November. Any clue if the overall processing time will be increased?

1. You will get 20 points for your B.A if it is from a HEC recognized university even as a private candidate
2. You will get points for all the experiences which are in Skill Level O, A and B regardless of this whether they are relevant to your education or not
