Work experience and duties performed are the major criteria for claiming an NOC so even Bachelors is OK if you have performed in a position that significantly matches the main duties for NOC 0213. In fact that is explicitly mentioned for 0213 (http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=0&val1=0213)

Employment requirements
•A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, business administration, commerce or engineering is usually required.

I am new to this forum. I am planning to apply for Canadian immigration? I want to know the following

Do Web designers/developers fall under IT manager category?
MBA with major in MIS will be sufficient qualification for 0213? Or do I need to show MCS for this?
What is the total processing time CHC Islamabad is taking to process and finalize the application? I heard they process application in one year.Is this correct?

plz let me know about detailed full application to CHC Islamabad.i have just received recommendation from sydney now i have 120 days time limit and i have to gather each and everything in these days.I will definitley need help from all of u especially seniors.
I am bit worried about reference letters and employment contract,as i dont have both of these but i can get them now from my employers.Plz tell me the wordings of these letters or any sample letter.
Should it be on stamp paper or company's letterhead ?
Seniors who have got their approvals are requested to share.

approval email received on 5th Aug 2009
File Transfered on 5th aug 2009

Now i am ready to submit my all documents for final approval but i have a question here for your opinion.

i have passed my MBA degree in 2007 and my university issued Transcrip and Provisional Certificat which i got attested from HEC. when i contact my university to get degree i come to know there is no any policy for issuing degree before convocation. So controller examination issued a refrence letter by addressing Immigration Officer CHC. stating that Mr xxx is an applicat of immigration for canada and was a regular student of university and declared passed in 2007 and for this university authorities issued transcript and provisional certificate and degree will be awarded formally in 2nd convocation of the university that will be held in the end of year 2009 so please process his immigration application by considering transcript and provisional certificate as a legal documents of university in absence of Degree.


so what u fellows this is it sufficent and i should submite my documents of should wait for degree ?

Dear Cheeta (?),

If you receive your degree by the stipulated time, please submit its' notarized copy (original not required) with your complete application, otherwise the Transcript  and Provisional Certificate issued by the University would be good enough to sustain your case (at least till provisional approval).

Meanwhile, when you receive the degree, you can submit its notarized copy.

Hope it solves your issue.

You can check the checklist at page 4 of this forum and that is exactly the latest one for Pakistani applicants.It was sent to me by CHC, ISLAMABAD IN mARCH, 2009. You need to have refernce letters, deffinatelly mentioning your Job period, Designation and Job Description As you mentioned at your intial application) for sure on company's letterhead.

Employment contract is a Company's proprietary document on Company's LH, suitable to its' own requirements. Your Company should have provided you one at the time of your employment and given you your copy after obtaining your acceptance signatures on both the copies (your personal, as well as the official record copy in office). Please ask your employer for your copy of employment contract if you didn't have it already.

The reference letter is basically a job description letter given by your organization again on Company's LH, addressed either 'To whom it may concern' or "To the Canadian High Commission for the Purpose of Immigration Process". It lists all the duties which you perform on your particular post. These duties should be narrated in line with the job description of your NOC. Again, it is a sensitive letter and should have been crafted very carefully.

May I ask you which city do you hail from and what is your NOC? A lot of guidance and help is available on the forum and you need not worry at least on these two issues. You will be helped out in time.

In my case i simply provided refernce letters at company letter head , duly signed by Our HR manager , stamped and the Visiting card of the signing person and it worked..I did't provided any contract letter.

My consultant was a bit thorough and he wanted all these documents, visiting cards of signing authorities etc etc.., but I believe your presentation was also perfect. The HR has the same role everywhere and they should provide at least the reference letter, if not both the documents. I would also support you for not submitting the employment contract as it could bounce back if it is printed recently, or the paper is not crumpled/is not dirty/or is new. (I remember they wanted contract papers to be dirty and old while doing verification at my office).

Manj Bhai...I am little lazy in some matters and never had any reference letters from last 3 compnies. I just get them a week before the submitting of full application. They all were brand New Papers but mentioning the date, on which i left my job. I was very afraid that might be they will not accepet that letters as they are not seem to be old ones. But Alhamdollilha it worked and this is all the blessing of Allha allmighty.
