Sorry but looks like a bad news... My case was in process since Jan 2012 and turned into decision made on May 1st 2012. I am waiting for their letter to arrive. Please keep up informed what they write to you. Regards, We received your application for permanent residence on October 1, 2009.

At last after 3 weeks time, the london office got the chance to reply to my inquiry...
According to them they posted me letter on 22nd. Just wondering if decision was made on 1st May then why they put the letter on hold for 22 days:(
Aw lets see what's the reason of rejection in my case...

My driving license had expired in Jan 2012, so I went to license office t/day. I asked the officer to renew my licence and enquired about Intl drvng licence, i learnt that application for Int driving lic requires copy of passport and valid visa, is it true or some gimmick?
If you want Int licence for Canada then there is no need for that. If you have Pakistan valid driving licence with experience of more than 5 years, in Canada you have to go to Pakistan Embassy. They will issue you a letter that your licence is original. The licensing authority will wave your driving test but you have to appear in written test which is quit difficult. If you will qualify they will grant you G license. But some one fails then he have to appear in G2 test and again for G test. |

Good info.. but I guess one should go and join driving school there to learn rules/regulation, you need to get used to with Canada's driving culture as I am sure our driving trends in Pakistan are quite different  |
