Dear ja77

Thanks for the reply.  But i have not read any demand by the CIC or CHC for the submission of the detailed marks sheet (DMS).  I`ve read the check list and guide line by the CHC where no mention of Detailed Marks Sheet is there.
I say this because my graduation marks on the marks sheet is 426 while on the degree it is 431. (a clerical mistake) And if i submit the DMS, i will be in a trouble.  What do u suggest?

checklist says transcripts. what will you submit as transcript? if you have obtained original transcript from PU in sealed envelope, i'm not sure but perhaps that also has your college's name. also, if you cant obtain original transcript in university sealed envelope, you will alternatively be submitting notarized copies of your marksheets. even if you end up obtaining corrected marksheet, this won't be an issue as the issuance of corrected marksheet only takes a few days from PU.

Dear ja77
I have checked my graduation transcript where the marks are correct but on the degree its incoorect...miscalculated.  It is a good co-incident that i have posted the note and i got ur advice.  Thanks to Nature.
I will get the corrected degree but will the Punjab University issue me a duplicate degree or the new one?
If it may be a duplicate, will it be a create a little problem or not?

Hi all
I am a Govt Officer and hold a degree in Mechancial Engineering. I have been performing the duties as Purchase Officer for the last 15 years. In addition, i am also working in the the budget section of my department in an executive position for the last 5 years. I applied for immigration to Canada under skilled workers caregory on 25 June 2009 which was received by the CIO on 4th July,2009. Today i got email from CIO after about 10 weeks. They did not accept my application on the ground that i mentioned my occupation as Purchase Officer (NOC 1225) which is not included in the list of required NOC . Although i attached a separate sheet with the application indicating that i am also working in the budget section of my department  and my duties also include  co-ordinating the financial planning and budget process, and analyze and correct estimates etc, which falls under NOC 0111-Financial Manager, but i think they did not consider my explanation.
I would like all the senior members to guide me what to do next? Should i apply again under NOC 0111- Financial Managers or should i clarify this to them. Or should i stop thinking about immigration.
Thanks. Waiting for your response.

Hi,

Here is my timeline:

Application date: 20 August 2006
Application and fee received letter: 25 August 2006

I recently received a letter dated 22/04/2009 from Canadian embassy mentioning that if you don't reply within 90 days we will continue with your application.

Now the important bit, since i applied my circumstances have changed considerably, I am married, working in uk, 3 years more experience etc - i even don't remember how many points i applied for, but at that time i fulfilled the points requirement. I remember i applied with all the documentation at that time and after 10 days the scheme changed to simplified one where you don't have to submit any document at all.

Questions:
I would like to know the processing times from Islamabad?
How do I update Canadian embassy about my changes - is there any form for it or they will contact me when they require updated documentation.
I even did ielts but that has expired now, so do i have to provide ielts as a must.

Can somebody shed some light on how to proceed further on this?

Regards,

Received Positive reply from CIO NS on 21 Sep 2009 (after 10 weeks).

Any idea now I have to send original documents or photo copies to UK Visa Office.

Thank you.

Salaam All!

I have recently started exploring Canadian immigration. I have gone through the basic procedure, and all the general details listed on the internet. However I need someone to guide me here a little on the procedure. I know about the points system & all, but to start with, how long does the overall process take? Should I apply directly or through some agent? Also according to the information available on the internet, if I do not have a confirmed job offer or if I am not a Provincial Nominee, it will take me more than 36 months to get PR (if the case is accepted). General help will be appreciated. Thanks!
