Hi Azfarbaig,

Can you possibly share the source of your information. This is the first time so many applicants of London VO has got 6 to 12 months letter, and as far as I know there is no such precedence to this issue. Please provide more details, is it based on CAIPS notes.

Normally it takes 09-10 months to send you another letter.

For all those Pakistani applicant who applied under NOC 1111. Encouraging news.

Memorandum of understanding signed by CICA and Pakistan institute
The CICA has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) to provide a clear path for members of one body to become eligible for membership in the other. The agreement was signed by the CICA on behalf of the provincial and territorial institutes of chartered accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda.
The MOU recognizes that there is substantial equivalency in the core knowledge component of the accounting education for CAs in both countries and will reduce the admissions requirements for qualified CAs from Pakistan. The CICA will work with the ICAP to help continue the development of its qualification process.
Under the MOU:
•An ICAP member who holds a recognized university degree will be eligible to become a Canadian CA by passing the Canadian Uniform Evaluation (UFE), which is offered annually in Canada. In addition, the candidate must meet the profession's experience requirements.
•Individuals with a Canadian CA designation will be eligible to become an ICAP member by passing the ICAP's examinations in Advanced Taxation and Corporate Laws
Definitely this news is a lot encouraging ..... have you any information that previously what type of jobs CA's were getting there

when did you submit your complete documents to CHC London. If its been 2-3 months then you can inquire about your 2nd AOR, I don't think so there is any harm in it.

Dear, I submitted documents in August 2011. And received PER in November 2011. No news after that. No way of tracking ?  Please suggest.

I am receiving very few resposes from brothers here.

[Dear Friends,

I would really apprecaite if any one could let me know that are there any instances where people who were done with Medicals received 6-12 months wait letters???  My understanding to this particular situation is that only those who had thier status received by visa office or In-process BUT have not received request for medical examination have received such letters from CHC London.

And would also like to get feed back on PPR1 , Candidates who got thier medical exams conducting during year 2012 have started getting PPR1 or not? As far as i can see from the forum updates is PPR1 & PPR2 were received by only those who had thier medicals done in 2011. Except for one lucky member (i think discreet), please share your experiences.

Thx
HAK

Hi Everyone,
I have a query, appreciate if you can reply.
Does London VO sends acknowledgement for receipt of correspondence relating to change in status (e.g. when an applicant informs them about change in marital status or birth of a child). If they do, normally how long does it take them to respond.
Thanking you in anticipation.

As far as I know CAs from Pakistan always managed to get jobs, sooner or later, (not as good as their Canadian equivalents). However this MoU will now enable them to get the Canadian equivalency as well. I know some Pakistani CAs who started the business of completing tax returns for individuals and small business for a nominal fee but are making good money.

Definitely this news is a lot encouraging ..... have you any information that previously what type of jobs CA's were getting there

As mentioned in 6-12 months letters "subject to admissibility checks", please read para from Linkedin discussion, "Selection requirements and the point score are not part of the admissibility checks. The admissibility checks refer to medical, criminal, war crimes, human rights and national security issues.

The selection requirements refer to assessing the applicant against the selection standards for their particular class, for Federal Skilled Workers education, experience, age, official language proficiency, etc. and as a result generating the points score".

Reference 6-12 months the experts on Linkedin say, The name of the subject "Hold letter" is misleading...
They are just telling the application that the waiting line is very long... and expect to wait 6 to 12 month before you hear from the VISA office... so, please don't call us, unless you have an "important" thing to tell us (like marriaage, birth, etc...) that has a real impact and one step ahead on your application...

i think its time for 6-12 month hold period members to start a new threat to talk about their case separately coz their are too much talk about on this topic in this GENERAL threat..
as we see all  "waiting for Medical"  "Waiting for ppr -1 or 2" has separate threads..
its time  ARSH ALI/ eemmoo to start new thread to talk about specifically related to 6-12 month waiting letter and their consequences separately. as far list is concern STAR is still doing the best job.

just humble request plz.
