Dear Seniors,

I got Medical letter yesterday and has following questions:
 
1) LVO only asked for landing fee ($490 for us) , fresh police reports and medical,shall i wait for medical exam (on 24 May)  or send rest of the documents.(I guess medical docs are sent through Doctor)
2) what is the easy and cheapest way of getting $980 pay order
3) I sent police report in August,2011 .shall new report is from  Aug 2011 till todate or since 18 yrs age

I want to share my experience with you. I am a computer engineer from karachi and with the help of my one friend and his advise started FSW application in 2010 with 3 years experience. when I started my application at the same time I started searching for job in canada by sending my CV to different companies in Canada. and I got reply to some companies and had interviews within 1 month i got two good offers and I accepted  one of the offer and then we signed-off job contract and they gave me LMO. I applied for Workpermit in Islamabad office and they gave me visa in 5-6 months....than I came to vancouver, canada in May2011 without family and start working as Sr.Engineer,  initial 6 months I aggresively workhard and trying best to seatle down and I took driving license, accomodation, improving my english (initially which is very bad), get use to enviornment, strongly practicing ISLAM  after 6 months I applied for my family visit visa and went back in Dec for 45 days paid leave and took my family in canada with me in Feb2012. Initialy my family got 6 months visa. I applied for extension for me and my family for 3 years and got open workpermit for my wife and extension for me. In feb 2012 I updated london case with the whole details, they ask me to updated documents and send me medical for PR. So still not got the PR but in few months I am well settled with my family and looking forward for bright future for all of us.

As you are already based in Canada and belongs to computer profession..then I guess you are the best person to guide all those who are associated with it.

Can you please tell us that what are the most demanding fields in computers ?

Dear it sound greats and realy you are lucky you are working there as related your feild , tell me have you done a certification course in canada ,   pls any advise for me i have a 1yr diploma in I.T and have certificate course in networking and i m inshallah move to canada in the month of july or june

I post my expereice becuase I sense some negtivity in some of the posts otherwise I am very silient reader....

I not did any certification or completed any education from Canada yet and but has 5 years experience overall. Now I am well seatled with my wife & 1.5 year kid I thought this is a good opportunity increase knowledge and I want to learn more for that took admission in UBC for Masters and doing it on weekends...so 5 days office and 2 full days University and I am very thankful to ALLAH for whatever I am and fully Enjoying life with my family....

The good part which is encouraging for new people english(language) is not a barier,  In computers you have lot of opportunities some are below but you can think of any field which you can find in pakistan...and also think about the qualification requirement for the same position no major difference...for example you need certification for the job in pakistan you also require here too....

1) IT data entry
2)Help Desk/reciption/IT Supervisor/Manager
3)Web Designer
3) Software Development ( very hot specially for American Companies and actually Microsoft hire u immidiatley)
4) Networking ( 100s of job every week, and not require high qualification ut skills easily get good job and depend on your skill and expereice you can negogiate good rates...specially Service provider like BELL, SHAW, Roggers etc it is similar to PTCL,WARID, Mobilink etc in pakistan)
5) in Education as teacher etc etc.....

I would suggest to avoid any tricky moves to arrouse unnecessary suspicion. I would suggest that you buy special saving certs from National Saving Centre in your title and obtain balance certificate for visa purpose from the concerned NSS. Send them copies of SSCs along with original balance certificate. Pl. note that SSCs are in urdu, therefore, also attach SSC scheme available on their website www.savings.gov.pk, for visa officer's understanding. SSCs do earn around 11.8% profit with no redemption fine on premature sale. Profits are payable on 6 monthly basis subject to completion of half year period. I think you do not need to justify any transactions by showing investments in readily encashable investment scheme.

I have been partly investing in SSCs from the date of initial application to CIO to diversify my portfolio and have already sent LVO copies of SSCs along with balance certificate. Format is as under:

I think they ask only Bank certificate for Proof of Funds only. they dont ask for three or 6 months statement at the time of medical or after medical . if I am wrong please correct me.

Will he send that test with Medical or not. Please give some advice..

Thats not much serious... Do not worry about it, take the Xray and give them to doctors.. My brother had the same issue with his younger son, (when he was 9 years old and much under weight compared to his age at that time) I guess by the Cue A Xray, they wanted to know the exact age, its nothing serious at all..

I have a question, what if the spouse is not gonna accompany to Canada?

If spouse is main applicant then YES
If not so not necessarily to accompany applicant in Canada, however you must have to mention her/him in the forms .

Thats not much serious... Do not worry about it, take the Xray and give them to doctors.. My brother had the same issue with his younger son, (when he was 9 years old and much under weight compared to his age at that time) I guess by the Cue A Xray, they wanted to know the exact age, its nothing serious at all..
