need some guidance.
i applied in 2010 and sent my all docs to LVO in Feb 2011. I received a letter from LVO in July 2011 that they have opened a file etc and will do further assesment etc.. all of a sudden in first week of april 2012 i got a letter from LVO that i did not send my detailed doc etc in 120 days so they have closed my case etc. i then wrote them an email as suggested by seniors here, and i have just got the reply from them that this was an error and they apologize etc and file has been reopened etc.. later i ask them what about the online status which is "withdrawn" earlier it was RVO. they replied that this is maintained by them so can not comment on it.
What should i do now, to whom to write about this or leave it? thanks.
It's a rare situation. I guess you should wait for the next step & avoid further emailing to LVO. It may irritate him/her. Hope you get positive response soon from CIC London.

I applied for immigration back in 2009, I got a letter in March 2012 asking for Medical and updated documents and PCC. Now the situation is that I am settled in UAE with my family and quite happy and am not interested to move to Canada anymore. But since I reached a stage where PR is not far away, i don't want to miss this oppurtunity as well.
Please guide me, what should i do? specially tell me if i go once for a week or 10 days and apply for PR card etc. and come back and continue with my present assignment in UAE, can i retain the PR status for unlimited time or does it has a time limit?
@ rizwan.khan Well Brother: The Experience other than the Ambition tells that if you have something / matter in your hand and you leave it / let it go as per your own decision; there is always a deep feeling of accomplishment in addition to the other feelings. Secondly You can never be sure of any certainty of your current situation whether it would be same as present or it may chane so always have a second option with you. So, conclusively you should not miss the opportunity that comes to you and should avail it. There is an issue of 1098 days per 5 year cycle to retain your PR but you can decide it later. In my opinion get your PR while you are at your current setup at UAE, go and land with your family in Canada and try to live for few months; maybe 2-3 months and then decide to keep or leave Canadian PR. If you decide to keep it, then you can leave ur setup at UAE & move to Canada or you can decide vice versa. I hope it would help. Always Hopeful Hopeful Canadian

@ mery to canada: So weird....previous trend used to be that when they kept u "in process with date line" status for a month or two, it generally did not have decision made....but u got decision made after 4 months of "in process date line" !! Really weird .....guess they r working in a pattern where u cannot predict anything...I hope your thing works out though.

yeah true.. I suspect that perhaps Mery might have missed her medical request email/letter. Decision made after in process date is not very usual and if it happens, it take not more than a week after inprocess date.

Mr. Rizwan............yes you can do everything what ever you want..............in PR you have to give a adress and PR will be posted there so then ask that friend courier you through Fedex...............so you can recive it and then through PR you can only travel cause in your first Entry your visas sticker will be crossed for no further travling............

Dear Mech & Jimmy, I dont know as yet the reason for refusal... I also second the thoughts if it was a refusal it should have been few days after getting in process. I also emailed them in the end of Feb asking about status because I was suspecting I have missed medical letter, but they never responded to my email (sent through their website using case specific inquiry link). Please pray for me and I will update you all once I receive the rejection letter. Regards, Mery yeah true.. I suspect that perhaps Mery might have missed her medical request email/letter. Decision made after in process date is not very usual and if it happens, it take not more than a week after inprocess date.
