Other documents were updated Police clearance certificates, new updated forms, RPRF and latest pictures of both children. I was not asked to submit latest bank statement or anything else.

Australians are generally friendly, but until about Sept 2013 when this present dysfunctional minority Aust. Federal Labour government is annihilated in the next election DO NOT come to Australia expecting a fair deal in immigration. The IELTS test alone demands FOUR 8's in reading, writing, speaking and listening, even though admittance to nurse registration only requires four sevens. You now get fewer points towards permanent residency if you are under 25. (This was because they wanted to block the majority of young Asian students who were already in Australia and wanted residency.)
However, student visas are easier to get because you are viewed as a cash cow. You are charged up to 500% more for course fees than what an Australian pays, (you pay $60,000 Aust for a 3 year Bach. Nursing Degree course) and the quality varies from good (if you know the colleges) to mediocre (if you don't). But for permanent residency, there will be in June an "Expression of Interest" system where you have to apply to be invited as a resident. Till June 2012, the pass mark for Permanent Residency is 65 and no restriction yet on how many qualify even though difficult. After June 2012, there will be quotas set in each profession and nobody knows where the union lobby will tell the immigration minister to set the pass mark, could be 70 or more, or less. DONT ever think you can come to Australia and study a trade then get residency on your own merits like it used to be. Unless you are from an English speaking country or you can find a large company to sponsor you and put up with truckloads of red tape, dont waste your time and money.
However, if you risk your life and arrive on a boat, whilst throwing away your passport to claim asylum, you will get favoured treatment and given up to a $10,000 subsidy. This is because a small fascist Green voting block holds the balance of power and can tell Labour what to legislate. They also forced a crippling 23% carbon tax on the economy, which tax Australians hate, to be unleashed in June. Cost of living is expected to skyrocket in fuel, gas, transport, electricity, rent, etc. Yes insanity rules.
The extended visa working periods in effect after June (2 years plus) apply to Degrees and Doctorates but even English doctors have been hassled by the IELTS test. The Health Service Union one of the biggest in Australia (70,000 members) has two high officials under investigation for fraud. One paid himself $320,000 plus per annum (plus other director fees, plus alleged fraudulent expenses) whilst their members average $70,000 wages. The government is protecting them at all costs because their one electoral vote is crucial for Labour to retain power at least until about Sept 2013.
Australia at present is undergoing a crisis of incompetence foisted by rabid unions only interested in personal power, and protecting their high awards, (no migrant competition thanks) regardless of the great harm they are doing to Australian companies and working people alike. Don't be fooled by rosy government statements, they only apply to a select few.
100 % right . Well explained . Get boat get PR . Even people on temp visa paying thousand dollars tax have no gurantee for PR but this so called economic refugees can get everything . Come on Boat here hurrrrry get PR

AoA all,
My ecase disappeared today. What does it mean?
By the way few days ago I send an email to London VO for change in address and informed them that I have changed job and improved qualification. In response I got email to confirm whether I have submitted completed application. I confirmed it through reply email.
I am May 2010 applicant and my complete application reached London VO on February 07, 2011. My NOC is 1111.

Guys,
Who all want to get their medicals, I advise go to Dr.Roohina Sattar. Her address is outdated on most website. She now has her setup near Naheed Super Store. Take the road from Naheed towards Jheel Park and her clinic will fall on your right hand (you may ask Karachi Labs people they will direct you to her clinic). Its poorly marked.
I will be glad to provide any more details any felow member may require as I have gone through the whole process succesfully Alhamdolillah.
Ya it must be very poorly marked as it is my routine route to office... I never noticed any clinic on right hand, yes on left there is one but on right, I never noticed... Is it on the side where Ghaffar kabab falls???

I thought that Dr. Rohina is not carrying out medicals as NMI just informed me that she is not with them (and thats it...no further information). However two days exercise is now getting practiced in IOM (Dr. Abdul Wakil) as well (after xray report you have to visit again for physical examination). My personal experience was very good...no long delay... in fact met quite few people from this forum (and felt very good about it). Procedure is very straight forward...just relax and go through this without any special preparation.

Asalam o Alikum Brothers! I have applied FSW in NOC 1111 in 201 and my file was transfer to London in 2010. In 2011 I came in Australia and applied for refugee. In December 2011, My refugee claim was refused and I have appealed against the decision. In Feb 2012, I received letter from London High Commission-Canada to send updated Forms and police Certificates. Now at this stage can anyone please tell me what to do regarding background declaration? Should I mention about my Refugee Claim and refusal? In case I mention and in case I don't mention what would happened. My family is in Pakistan and I am doing job as Head of Finance on refugee work visa in Australia. I am stuck up in very tough situation Can anyone have knowledge and guide me regarding this situation? I would be highly thankful.
Refer to above case, how can LVO/CIC check travel history of an applicant and which authorities/ organizations or departments are contacted in this matter. As we are issued computerized passports in Pakistan now, how can it be used to check travel history by CIC?

@ mythestic Thank you again for the useful info. Please tell me the telephone numbers of both these doctors. There are only two doctors in Karachi who are eligible to take our Medicals. 1> Rohina Sattar (NMI - Saddar.. i am not sure if she's still there) 2> DR ABDUL WAKEEL from IOM - International Organization of Migration (Tipu Sultan Road (adjacent to Karsaz Road) Both doctors are good.. however, Dr. Rohina sattar usually gives long dates to take medicals. They ask you to come to NMI and make an appointment, then they will give you a date for after 15 or 20 days. They also ask you to come TWO different days. When you go on your date they take your X-rays and blood/urine tests. Then they will ask you to come next day for General Physical Tests. They have typical saddar based hospital environment. Arrogant Receptionist who asks you to sit with other patients and wait for your turn. But as i heard, their physicians are good and dont give you tension. (They have both Male and Female Physicians by the way)
As Dr. Abdul Wakeel usually gives you appointment on Telephone with less time period as Dr. Rohina sattar. They ask for your Passport numbers and request you to come on given date in the morning at 9:30, and make you wait for long. As there will be a huge load of people (immigration/student visa applicants - I got my turn at 12'O clock in afternoon.) After Urine/Blood test, the Physical tests begin (including your BP, height, weight, Eyesight, detailed physical checkup) take about 20 to 30 minutes. There are many physicians in IOM who take your tests (infact Dr. Abdul Wakeel didnt even come), mostly female doctors. Their behavior is good and relaxing. After that, they give you some papers sealed in an envelope and ask you to go another hospital to give X-rays. (I guess they don't have X-ray facility in their Clinic/office)
We were three applicants (including a child) and they charge 8850/- Rps for three of us.

It depends where you live. I manage to get mine from Islamabad within 2 days but of course, it was possible with the help of some contacts. Otherwise, you know how it works. In normal routine, i would say 3-4 weeks at least. When I first went to their office in F-8 Islamabad as an ordinary citizen, they did not bothered to talk properly as they always do. Then I went outside the room, called someone who could scared the xxxx out of them, came back to the room and handed over my mobile set to the same guy. After that he said why did not you told me about this before. Later, they offered me a cup of tea and asked me to collect it the very next day. That's how is works here. Next day, it was fun again. When I went there to collect it, there were some different staff and they told me that my wife have to come personnaly to collect her clearance certificate. I told them that she is my wife and I submitted her application. I also showed them her original CNIC but they refused. Again, I had to make that call and after that, the dealing person gave me my wife's certificate and looked helpless. I feel bad about this. This should not be the way but that's the way it goes here. If you don't have proper contacts, yeh log aap ko zaleel aur khawar ker ke rakh dain ga. Try to findout some local contacts and there will be no problem.

Dear Countryboy, I think its not your Passport, indeed its a separate Form which CIC asks you to fill for you and your family (I was asked by CHC London in Feb 2012), you mention all places, duration of stay and also the purpose of stay. From the data that you gave CHC carries out checks from respective countries/authorities to find out anything that doubts them. Someone suggested that they send you the Form especially once you have gaps in your education and job history.

PA is Provisional Acceptance which is issued when VO is satisfied with your application information and you are granted marks. After PA people get medical. Actually I also served in armed forces before my civil career.
salut kiani, i hope you are good.. Brother, your case is with csis and under extensive security checks so, you are required to clear a few things with the security officers. Stay positive, everything would be fine. For extensive security check cases, interview is a normal procedure. best of luck

Dear Friends
I have been asked by CHC to resend few forms. I applied under skilled migration program. One of the form for which I am asked to resend is IMM0008ENU_2D. While filling this form at point number 7 it asked for "Have you received your certificate de selection du Quebec".
In my case this does not apply, so I select NO. Then again it asks
If Yes, please indicate the number If No, when did you apply your CSQ. provide year, month and date.
Can any one guide me what should I do with this question
Thanks
