See different factors affecting rejections other than 67 points and JD, it is posted by canada dreams ND visa office

I have the scan of letter received by my consultant yesterday, can't paste the whole letter but updating the vital contents in simple language as below:

VO writes (Dated 28-March-2012) to PA (Female)

You do meet the selection Criteria (Points 67 or above) but not satisfied that you will be able to ecnomically adapt yourself in Canada due to below reasons:

1. IELTS assessment you have scored 6 out of possible 16 points in your first language with an over all band score 5.0 & in 2nd language it is 0 so you scored 6 out of possible 24. This hinders your finding employment & establish economically in Canada. (She should have worked & improved on this point prior to submittting her full docs)

2. No evidence of your spouse (husband's) english level ability. So I am not satisfied if your spouse is having adequate english level ability for finding employment in his field of expertise or related field. (STRANGE what does VO expects here, IELTS of SPOUSE also).

3. Bank statements show sudden large funds deposits for which source is unknown. (We have a long un-ending debate related to this in another thread, now we understand the significance of funds proof)

4. Not satisfied that your old canadian citizen & his wife will be able to support you in canada since they just have $ 21k (CAD) as their personal credit. (So they not only see that you have a relative in Canada but also if that relative can support you)

5. Finally your relative lives in X location & you are planning to settle in Y location 300 kms away, not satisfied that they will be able to help you settle in Y location. ( Now think how critically the information provided by us is being examined, Imagine the extent of analysis done by the VO)

Giving you an opportunity to reply on above concerns & provide additional documents within 30 days from the date of this letter.

If you will not reply a decision will be made based on present information in your file.

Sincerely

Signed
Visa Officer

This is very rare case. Normally, in order to make decisions on these types of cases VO has to get approval from his/her Program Managers. But the good thing is that opportunity is been provided to respond without being refused upfront.

Dear Khalid

Basically , they are just going to pack the cases upto June 2010 as Canada has already have a large population in account of immigrants. So at this stage any one who will get a visa be lucky but especially your Degrees and your own IELTS rather then  your spouse will get through from the same panic.
So,we should hope for the best and do not think about this matter which is entirely in the hands of VO ,he has the discretionary power to refuse but God remains everywhere.

Kind regards.
Thats right, they need to get rid of  this huge backlog by any means

Moral of the story is that if someone feels that his application may contain any of thiese problems, then he better send a clarification note or additional supporting docs to VO now, before it is too late

Alhamdulillah, I have received my PPs with the immigrant visas and COPRs today. They were delivered to me this morning.

The issuance date for the visas is 3rd April and they are valid up until 14th January 2013. It took us three years to reach here and I cannot think of any day when we didn't pray to get our visas. The feeling of joy, happiness, and excitement cannot be described in words.

Journey doesn't end here as I understand there is a lot to deal with in future when it comes to settlement in Canada, but where there is a will there is a way. Insha'Allah Allah will help all of us in fulfilling our dreams.

Thank you all my dear forum members.

In addition to this there is one more BAD news, i have received a letter from London Visa Office stating that they have not received my documents to date which I was supposed to send in 120 days (which is not the case, i have sent them back in Jan 2011 or so). So failing to do this seeing your current application we do not see it valid enough to pursue your case. so we are closing it bla bla...

HELP PLEASE IF SOMEONE HAS THE SIMILAR EXPERIENCE, what should be done now, even the online status shows that they received my docs.

Request a review. Send the photocopy of the Courier Receipt. or is it that you sent it through ordinary mail?.....

Take others advice too, if you or somebody can take passports by hand outside pakistan (though it is illegal but possible) and courier to Newyork from there and provide same address for returning.

I think you must send your passports by Jerry's or Tcs...they are authorized to handle PAKISTANI passports abroad for visa issuance and renewal etc. But if any friend or relative carrying your passports personally and caught.........is a huge crime. Too many problems would start. You are to include the photocopy of the letter of instruction.....
