Just curious about one thing,
What does it shows when immigration authority swipe the passport in machine. I think the same bio data which is written on bio data page or something else. For example at Pakistani airport and in Canada when they swipe the passport Do they get same kind of information or something else.
I know it's a bit irrelevant but just wanna know for the sake of information.

Our machine readable passports will display the biodata page on the screen once the passport,s barcode is under scanner red light, thats all.
I have done this myself at auto check in machine in Malysia airport

Because when we make data entry the screen in front of us shows more than what is written on bio data page like one is profession. Actually When I made my passport the profession was wrongly put in data entry which I realised lateron. Would it effect at the time of swipe the passport at Pakistan airport or at canada.

I dont think so it makes any difference as how one word can describe your profession... e.g. if someone has business or self employed mistakenly entered by DEO, specially in Pakistan and he did Pvt. job whole his life... what can one do.... or how the immigration officer can give it that much consideration... so I dont think so it will make any difference... waisay bhi aadhi say ziada Pakistani khawateen kay house wife hi likha hoga even if they do job.... coz DEO normally fill these fields themselves......

No problem, because even if you have a different profession than the one you claimed for immigration they dont bother. you should have that profession in last 10 years

I don't think wrong profession would be a problem. I also had same situation when i renewed my passport. The data entry operator did not update my profession. My passport has my profession as student. I noticed it when i handed over the forms to the officer. I told him, my profession is wrong in these forms, he said don't worry it is for our use. It will not be there at any port of entry outside Pakistan. I also observed at Gerry's, when operator put my passport under bar code only first page of the passport was on the screen.

One more thing i want to ask. I renewed my passport in august 2011 and informed CHC LDN via website inquiry. but i did not receive any acknowledgement  from CHC LDN. is it routine or they acknowledge such kind of updates.

because after completing the profession cycle 1 time they will come at first profession again to process any remaining application like my case. or start next step of processing that could be PPR 1.
